Sep 23-25. San Gorgonio campground off hwy 38 about halfway up the mountain to big bear lake. Going to be a good turnout from what the list reflects. From what I gather there's going to be different groups of trails led for different level of difficulty. Campfires are restricted to propane only. Book soon because I think sites are going quick. Heard Cali Raised is raffling off some lights as well.

Now that most of us have decided to camp. Let's try and get organized to avoid over spending and to make sure we have all the neccecities for a good time. Some one correct me if I'm wrong, I think the central area of grass/dirt in between all of our trucks, is where all the ground tent campers can put there tents up. I don't think you have to stay within your site. So my thinking is as long as we have enough parking (2 trucks per stall) we can move tents around to have enough space for everyone.
Let's remember, we are all friends and family so let's treat everyone with dignaty and respect. Wives, girlfriends, children and other campers will be camping with us so, let's have fun and build life long friendships and memories. We will be 15 min away from town, 2 min away from off-road so if we forget anything there's no need to worry.
I've lost track of who's going so add your name to the list and if you booked your on spot add your spot #number. If you are showing up for a day run, add your name with a *. As we get closer we'll try and organize trail runs, food and supplies. The majority of us have hand held ham radios to use in close proximity. If you can afford 35 dollars I would suggest getting one, but it's not required. It's more fun but not required. A few members have also offered their spare radios up.

    Ham radio freq. 151.941

Added myself to the list, spot #12. As I said last night, I have an open spot available for anyone who doesn't have a spot yet and wants to split it with me!

Spencer and I are checking in on the 23 and leaving the 26. Gonna set up my tent by my site. Not trying to hear everyone's snoring jammed into a patch of grass. Gotta be up super early for fishing anyway so I don't want to step over tents making noise and waking people.

Possibly Friday at dusk. Definitely going Saturday morning. Dont get your annual pass till Jan 1. If you buy your annual now it's going to expire Dec 31. This time of year it's best to buy daily or 2 day passes. If you're about to get some serious fishing in between now and the new year then go for the annual. Youll be buying another in January, however.

I'm aware. Stupid ass California and their only till the end of the year license bullshit. But I'm trying to get out fishing enough to make it worth the annual, also need to get the ocean tag as well. I wanna get out a few times on Melissa's dad's boat and then go on a charter with Melissa before the year ends. Another buddies brother also has a boat that I'm trying to get out on

The tuna bite is hot right now. Best it's been in 20 yrs.
Season hasn't really been bad in 2 years. Just slowed up a bit. El Niño pushed a lot of warm water our way. Here's a yellow tail I caught just outside the long beach boat launch. Unreal they're this close.

The bull size bluefin are 2-3 days out. Big coin to get out there but it's a once in a lifetime experience. Best bet is to go into Mexico and depart out of there. Anyhow, we can bs about this elsewhere. Don't wanna take over this thread with fishing mumbo jumbo. Bring your tackle to big bear. We'll snatch up a few little guys.
