I thought I saw it somewhere, but can't seem to find the answer now, when ordering the kit from TRS, do we need the optional DRL anti-flicker links?

No, waste of money on this truck, those work on CanBus regulated headlight applications.

Installed my 2strokes yesterday. Install was same as everyone else had to remove the two top screws from the headlight and pull it forward just enough to get the bulbs to squeak in. I didn't realize that I would need to use the adapters though...so it made the extra chord/wires long and somewhat difficult to hide! All in all I really like the LED's for my low beams huge improvement over stock and no messing with the HID to battery stuff so install was really a breeze.

So I didn't see a reply to previous questions regarding the 2strokes as high beams....anyone try these in their 3rd gen high beams yet? Or any reasons why they wouldn't work? I rarely use my high beams so my 1st thought is leave em stock avoid the additional boxes and additional wiring that come with the 2strokes.

    • BULB BASE KIT : 2 X 2Stroke LED Bulb Kit$100.00

    • BULB ADAPTERS : 2 X 2Stroke Hardware Pack: H11
Are the bulb adaptors required? I noticed they are not available on the distantxtremes website with "Tenoff" coupon code.

I just saw another thread about these ballasts may be causing ECU problems. Will wait and see...

The 2stroke LEDs or the Elite HIDs? I had seen a few different issues happening with HIDs but no mention of problems with the 2strokes which is why I went the LED route

I have no reason to suspect any interaction with the ECU, but anything is possible ultimately. We still fully recommend HID for better performance instead of LED, just want to at least have the option either way!

Regardless if the LED or HID lights are the cause of these problems I think I will be buying some liquid electrical tape to close up any open ends I find on the 2strokes.

Any updates John, on the 2 Strokes? Hows everything working out? Any issues installing?

Nope so far so good! Still loving em..I bought some liquid electrical tape have some regular electrical tape and have a tube of silicone caulking to maybe seal anything that needs sealing.

Zero issues so far though everytime I turn em on I'm happy I'm not running regular halogens :)
