Is the '17 essentially a '16 w/ elect slider?

Bascially, the reviews will say the best pickup truck, bar none, is the honda ridgeline.

What the ridgeline is, is a minivan with a bed. But it is not a truck.

If the Tacoma was so bad, don't you think they would have a few sitting on lots for months? Nope, sell sell sell, even with terrible reviews.

At least on the 2017 OR that I ordered, the power tailgate lock was an added option and not standard like the power slider rear glass.

    Problem solved.....

I have zero as in 0 issues with my truck in 12K miles... if you're not counting the mud that's on it right now.. It was soooo hard to drive I drove 500 miles straight stopped for gas once and kept going. When I got where I was going I felt fucking GREAT. Thank you very much Toyota.

Same here 9k miles 0 issues, I have not a single complain, maybe one but that's my fault for not getting it in 4x4.
About the 17 don't expect much changes in the next couple of years this model is here to stay like it is for at least 3 years, maby some light changes eventually as every sigle car generation.

To be fair there are a lot of used ones already as well. Where I get my truck serviced there is every type of dealer on the block. They all had 2016 Tacomas...

The Chrysler dealership even had one up on the stands front and center staring down the toyota dealership

Did a search through the 10 dealer auto mall near me. Only 2 used Tacomas for sale, both 2014s.

Using web searches I see 4 2016s within 50 miles of me, 2 which are access cabs. If I use autotrader it shows 5 used 2016 Tacomas in the whole province I live in and only 1 is actually at a Toyota dealer. Craigslist and Kajiji another 3 available. Hard to find here.

I guess some people don't like the "normal characteristics" of vibrations in the steering wheel and/or pedal.

How bad does someone's Tacoma have to be to trade it in on a Chrysler?

Back in 2006 the Ridgeline was winning comparison tests against the Tacoma. The critics have different criteria for what makes a good truck then most truck buyers want or like.

Could be the person couldn't afford the payments and that Chrysler dealer was the only one that'd let them get upside down enough in a cheap car to keep their head above water?

I've also seen where someone buys a car then gets sick (cancer) and their husband sells the car a year later after she's passed away.

Lots of scenarios that don't involve disliking the Tacoma. Still possible though of course.

Well, a Dodge Hellcat is only about $20k more than a '17 Pro.

And with over 700hp I bet it doesn't struggle up hills.

It seems there are a lot of mall crawling Tacomas around. If that's all I used my Tacoma for, a Hellcat would be much more attractive to me.

I'm surprised the consumer report called the ride "stiff"... having test driven a few I found them feeling quite bouncy.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
3 pages and you have the only good statement in the entire thread.
