I have a 2015 tacoma with the touchscreen deck and i was wondering if i can wire a sub into it? i dont want to buy another deck because the stock one is great. if anyone can confirm or deny that this is possible that would be great. i want to know before i take the deck out if i can do what i want to it.

    any info is appreciated thanks

You'll need an amp to drive a sub first off. Second you'll need to have an output from the deck. Not sure , but I would assume Toyota decks only have 4, one for each stock speaker. Try posting in the audio video forum for some better advice. I bit the bullet and had a 5 channel amp, speakers and a sub professionally installed. Well worth it.

I know I'm going to have to get an amp and all that. The reason I thought the stock deck would work is because my family also owns a limited 2015 sequoia and it has a sub with the exact same deck. Any good audio video forums you can recommend?

You'll need an LOC, Amp, sub/box, and all the fixings to finish the job. The majority of stock head units do not have RCA outputs that support amps. the Sequoia most likely has an upgraded audio package and that is why it has a sub.

It does have the upgraded jbl package so that's probably why it can do it. If I can't keep the deck I'm not doing the sub because all the other decks are expensive af.

the majority of amps have speaker-level inputs so all you would need to do is tap in to a left and right speaker

Yes you will need an LOC (line out converter) This will give you a mono channel to your sub...

You will also need a sub and amp... JL makes a stealth box that fits behind the seats of a double cab.

Some subs come with a built in amp, most are 8" or 10" subs. This option will give you a bit more bass. Really its just going to help fill in the low end stuff.

Depending on the LOC that you use.... some are mono channel, some are multi channel...

I have a 13, i kept my stock head unit swapped out all the door speakers and added 2 subs. I originally was going to use a LOC but then i found the benifits of using a DSP (digital sound processor). DSP's are the way to go if you are truly a music lover and want the most out of your system.
