My Sequoia got backed into in a parking lot. Guy had a tow hitch and backed into my front bumper and left it parked like that, so I backed up, removed the hitch from his truck, used it to bash in his tailgate. I kept the hitch.

You nailed it, sir. When people I know don't respect my possessions as much as I respect theirs I take it as a personal insult. Its like saying, "The effort you put into acquiring and taking care of these nice things doesn't mean sh** to me".

Most of the time these people call me uppity, but I guess we were just raised different. I respect everything I work for.

Back when I lived in my apartment and had my STi, I'd park it in Siberia but when I had my 93 Xtracab, I'd use it as a shield. It was fantastic because I could block anyone from parking next to it.

I was at the train station one time and was the first one in the row, so I parked on the end and gave myself a wide berth. There was a walkway at the front of the car between the two spots (a gap if you were parking nose to nose) and when I got back there was a Honda Accord that parked ACROSS the gap and was actually touching my Hella 500 system. The guy came off the train the same time I did and I was like WTF guy and he goes I was here first and you hit me. He got all shifty and googily eyed and had a large friend with him and I legit thought someone was going to stab me so I didn't push the issue, but the nerve of people...

Or they don't respect theirs and therefore think everyone is the same. Either way, not happening with me. Even the heaps I drove for many years I would still take care of them..not because they looked great or anything, but because it was how I get to work and school.

I saw a lady at Panera Bread throw open her Lexus door into a Jeep this morning.

Then she went back out and threw the door open again into the same Jeep with her bag full of bagels.

I was not in a position to say something to her either.

Every time a crazy is around my truck, something happens to it.

Leaf blowers blowing stuff in my face on the road does not make me smile either lol.

This is exactly why I had side steps on my jeep wrangled (*flat* door panels) and will put steps on my Taco.

A few years ago was driving by a residential parking lot and saw a lifted pickup back into the hood of a car, then leave. I got the plate number and description then left a note on the damaged car with what I saw and my contact info.

I ended up getting a call from the sheriff to confirm what I'd seen, then a couple weeks later a call from the owner of the car thanking me for the help. Sheriff deputies had a chat with the car owner, his kids fessed up, and the matter was handled.

Back to Lexus lady -- if she damaged the jeep and left the scene that counts as hit-and-run in many/most places. Here it takes a whopping $500 damage to constitute a felony destruction of property charge.

Hah, tell me about it. Back when there were those riots in... I think it was Ferguson(?) there was video of some idiot shooting at the cops. There were these protesting bystanders standing in the street, dangerously close to being hit, and I distinctly remember this dingleberry standing there in the crossfire, absorbed in his phone... *crack* whizzzzzz *crack* whizzzzzzz *crack* whizzzzzzzz ... he finally looks up after like the 4th or 5th shot like "huh?"

Holy shit man, we're fuggin doomed if you can't be assed to put your phone away to avoid being shot!

I had a girl in a little white Lexus sedan swing her door (hard enough that my truck wobbled) right into my sliders on the side of my truck. I happened to be walking up to it as she did, and she looks at me "Why do you have those big things on the side of your truck?!" I just looked at her and said "well, partially for stupid people like you."

I would then have carefully inspected the sliders and told her she was paying for it if I found any damage..just out of principle

Haha, well the best part was I knew her. She was lucky there was amazingly no damage to her doors. My sliders are schedule 40 steel painted in bed liner, she had no chance on those. I'm the guy now that when someone parks like crap, I intentionally park where if they open their doors they will hit my sliders so that they either can't get in or they get a dent. Typically if they are over the parking line I do that.

Yes but even a scratch I would bitch haha

Some yrs ago I was the front car in a 3 car accident. Knocked the bumper in maybe a quarter inch on the 12 yr old beast I owned. I might not have cared but the girl who caused it was too busy on her phone and talking to her friends to give a care about it. Didn't ask if I was okay, didn't apologize, nothing..it was a problem because she was going to be late for her movie. Well guess what, thanks to your screwing off behind the wheel now so am I.

Holy shiiiiiiit. That video made me so mad. Especially when the little kid was like "Mommy, the door touched the door right here." and the camera shows the red scuff mark. I wish I could also see when the police arrived.
