The main reason I bought it was because when I talked to the guy at hypertech, and told him about mine problem with the anti-lock brakes kicking on because of the traction control/anti-slip deal going off, he told me this would fix the problem. Guy at Toyota said he might be right but wasn't sure so I tried it and it did not do anything! But at least I know my speed and odometer are right so it is what it is.

THIS. Besides, when you have bigger than stock tires and "stock" speedo settings, you actually put less miles on the truck.

I do know there is no way I can live with the constant down shifting on every little hill on every road. Can't wait for the gears! Tries to up shift buut my speed starts to drop if I don't put my foot into it and it immediately down shifts again! :annoyed:

I bet there is a chip for people with slightly bigger than stock tires to manually adjust shift points. My last full size Chevy had a hypertech programmer where I could adjust fuel/air mixture, shift points, correct speedo, etc.

If you have a bigger tire, less revolutions per mile, you actually put less miles on the truck. If you were talking to me.

I suppose, but the odometer is not calculating it correctly if you do not recalibrate! There is no chip out at this point and I am not loaded by any means, but I have more money than patients! Lol. Besides it will be better for the truck all around.

This same sound occurs if its in drive and you roll down an incline backwards obviously to stop it from rolling away. But it's happened to me moving forward as well. Like you explained.

I guess I've never rolled backwards down a hill while I was in drive at this point yet LOL! But I'm sure it would probably do the same thing. Funny thing was, I had changed out my tire size, added spacers and all kinds of things and I couldn't figure out why I was still rubbing and in the end I wasn't rubbing at all. I think part of the reason it's hard to know what's going on is the foot is on the gas pedal when it happen, If the foot was on the brake:angrygirl: you would feel the anti-lock chattering but because you are giving it gas you don't know it's the brake actually causing all the noise!

You sure the sound isn't your tires rubbing?

Hey brother, I just put 5100's all around (set the fronts to 1.75) and got a Dakar 3 leaf mini pack AAL for the rear. Basically lifted it 2". I was able to keep my stock wheels (I actually like their look and saved money! LOL) and put KO2's 285s (using Spidertrax 1.25" wheelspacers for enough backspace clearance to avoid getting UCA's). Hope that helps!
