    I just checked my truck and actually the only things i need are the steering wheel sides/controls and the rings around the gauge cluster. My radio bezel and shifter surround are already black.

    Yes but yours is the glossy one. It's different than the matte black that comes on the base model.

    If I'm comfortable taking interior "apart" to put these new pieces in/on, painting is likely of no concern.

    Just wondering, but couldn't you take them off and have a paint shop hit them with black for a fraction of $400?

    The glossy one is in the original parts list on page one. But if you guys want everything matte black you need to get this one - 55421-04050.

    Good point.

    You probably could, but might not "match" correctly. In my opinion nothing would give the truck more value than having OEM parts in it, but that's just me.

    My guess is all those bigger parts are all flat black, probably not available in glossy, so you might have to go with the flat black option.

    I thought that one on page 1 was flat black! :eek: This color is confusing.

    Edit: I see now. The OP is flat, the parts list reply is glossy. I meant how do you get glossy black from the factory? Or can you only order it? I'd really appreciate a picture of both setups now!

    We're talking about the plastic pc directly around the radio head unit... not the big pc that has the cut out for the vents and 4x4 switch.

    The big pc is flat, but the plastic trim around the radio I guess comes in either flat or glossy.
