I purchased my 3rd Gen on September 6th 2015. SR Utility package white. It made loud sounding creaking/squealing over low speed on certain bumps. After 3 visits to my purchasing dealer over the course of 6 months they could not find or replicate the issue.

in April of 2016 I went to a different Toyota dealer, they were able to locate & have it fixed in two days. Turned out to be a carcked bushing in the right front area, the noise was metal on metal contact,, rubbing against the frame.

In the past few weeks the noise is starting to come back. It is very frustrating & aggravating at this point so I put a call into Toyota corporate. They opened a case for me, in one business day my case manager will contact me,

For those who have had or currently have a case with Toyota, what can i expect next? Hoping to get the issue resolved at the least. If the problem persists when the truck is out of warranty it will then be out of my pocket. What are my options?

Toyota needs to step it up a bit, I think the 3rd Gen has had too many issues with little resolution. I dont feel the Tacoma is a well oiled simple machine anymore.

A cracked bushing isn't really a big problem. It happens. Could be a defective bushing or perhaps damage from hitting a pothole or something. Either way it happens. Id be more pissed that the first dealer couldn't find the issue and the second did right away

There have been others on here with the same bushing problem. Same noise, same location.

I also cannot stand when it jumps from P to R.

TBS for the tranny jumping. As for others having the same bushing problem I haven't seen threads where people have been complaint about this. It's a bushing, made by another company for Toyota. If problems do exist then I'm sure Toyota will address it. Right now your under warranty and it was replaced. If this was the 5th time it needed to be replaced then I could understand

Dealer said they need it fro four more days. THey are certain the strut/ coils are defective & making contact causing the noise. Corporate authorized my dealer to install new struts, coils & other parts.
