I hate parking lots. Seems others don't feel the same about my truck as I do. I have a spot on my driverside that another car has propped there door against and there is a white spot where the door touched the paint. I have noticed that the barcelona red seems to be quite susceptible to this. I had the dealer check the paint and they said it was the correct thickness. How they measure this I don't know. I have noticed a couple other spots where the paint has similar "scratches." Any suggestions how to fix without looking like a touch up paint spot?

There are guys that go around to different car lots to fix such dings and scratches. Try to get a name and number and get them to give you a on the side cash price.

It seems our newer trucks are easily scratched. I also hate parking lots, thats how my bumper got the way it is.

I hate this as well. When possible I park far away from other vehicles, even in the rain. I don't mind walking as much as some people in parking lots do.

The paint used on our trucks is really thin, mine has been chipping away from road debris since day one, I think its because carmakers now use water based paints.

Welcome to the fine quality of toyota paint, my radiant red is nicked up the wazoo. I would suggest parking a ways out in the lot but easier said then done especially when its freezing out. Also i heard sliders and running boards gives a little protection from cars.

    Daily drivers ftw.

But if I do have to leave the truck in a parking lot for any period of time, I try to find a corner space as BFE as possible.

+1 for sliders and parking a few extra spots away. Depending on the depth of the mark- Take it to a detailing shop...They may be able to buff it out. It might be paint off the other car on TOP of yours...With no paint missing from your door.

one of the main reasons i got the nerf bars and bull bar, got my ball in my hitch for the back. gives the truck a much better chance in a parking lot.

With my All pro's, you'd have to be in a truck with a 6'' lift to door ding me.

Anything else is going to hit sliders first.
