You guys have internet at work lol? I have Amazon, only because of an old rewards program that they cancelled a few years ago that you could get amazon cards from. Everything else but company stuff is blocked lol

The last 7 years I was in we did Flex Drilling. Had to go to Little Creek, Virginia. So, we would stock pile drills for three months, then head out VA quarterly. If you couldn't do a quarterly every time you just went to a local NOSC. Mine was in Sac. Oakland to SAC isn't bad. Or, if I just needed to do a PRT, I could go to NOSC Alameda. It worked out.

 

They wouldn't. Fuck'um!

The VA never ceases to amaze me. They call me to tell me I've got an appointment in freaking Pleasanton, only 83.7 miles on way.

Best part is its in the middle of the day so I'll get stuck in rush hour on the way home!

I'm gonna guess rescheduling is out of the question??

 

If I wanted to wait another month for a different day/time. Location would still be the same...

update on my national guard bullshit, signed a 1 year contract. the dumbass retention NCO put me in a spot in Visalia. 6 hours or so away. so after talking to @sytfu510, and getting a hold of another retention NCO down there, he told me to get out of my contract (no idea how lol) and sign with him when i get down there. so instead of doing my final out from active duty today, it got pushed to monday -_- i just want to leave... haha

 

Dude, when I got out I didn't even realize you only have to do a total of 8 years, so when I was told that I "HAD" to do another 3 years of Inactive reserves after 8 years of active just to get my severance, I was like "uh ok, where do I sign for money" and then afterwards I was told that it was BS and they were lying to me. Good 'ole Navy trying to get one last jab of that knife on the way out.
