Tomorrow. Skids still have to go through the waterjet process which won't happen for another week or so.

A small handful of select mods.
So based on your statement above why do car manufacturers turn on recirculation when you hit the defrost button for the windshield? Typically they are tied together and you cannot turn off recirculation unless you turn off the defrost button.

My understanding was the the recirculation along with AC helps to dry out the interior air. If fresh air coming in is heavy in humidity it will do nothing to defrost the windows and will make it worse.

lol, I was waiting for somebody to try this connection.
On the newer vehicles the AC is tied directly to the defrost switch, so yes it does run, at a reduced rate, and it's sole purpose is to prevent HOT direct air from hitting the glass and causing a crack. No shit, that's it.
This is the scenario that happens that caused manufactures to make the change in the controls...

A driver starts the car in the dead of winter to let it warm up.
The day before, it was nice out so the HVAC controls might have been left on the cooler settings. Living in Colorado we are aware that one winter day might be windows down and the next shoveling feet of snow.
So to get back to the explanation, the driver returns to the car after a warm up period, only to discover that the window is still crusty with ice/condensation, etc. So the controls get flipped over to HOT, and bam, ice cold glass gets hit with 195 degree air, cracks might result, smaller cracks will get bigger. Warranty claims are made.

Now my truck has AC, but it's a button that is separate from the HVAC controls, I can run all positions/vents with no AC being turned on. Or I can run my AC from any vent I choose on the flip side of that.

And like I said, not all vehicles come with AC. IF this was truly the way it worked, it would be mandatory on all vehicles.

Now to answer your statement about humidity being pulled in, like on a rainy day...same thing applies, set the controls to fresh air, close all pie holes, and the condensation will go away. I know it seems counterintuitive.
I drove a 1964 Jeep CJ6 with NO AC, NO Recirculate function, barely had air movement to speak of at all coming from the "defrost vent" and lived in the mountains of North Idaho, much more humid there than here. Never had condensation or ice problems.
