wow this is a great thread.

That Headstrong link doesn't work anymore than the 6112 / 5160 package is not offered anymore. Does anyone know why?

I've had the 6112/5160 combo for 6 months now. Still love it every single day I drive my truck. It's so smooth and cush. Feels like you could just drive down a flight of stairs like a trophy truck. Ha. It's so beefy and comfortable. Best thing I've done to my Tacoma, highly recommend this set up and also highly recommend purchasing from Headstrong Off-Road.

Aren't the Toytecs adjustable on the truck? Is that something those who have the Toytec lift find beneficial?

Realistically, how often do people change the height on their trucks? Extra maybe 2 hours work removing shocks done once every ...

Hey guys getting my taco in October and I have been lurking the lift threads day and night trying to see whats best for me. I was interested in the 5100 Billies until the 6112's showed up and I've got my eyes set on them. As I see the 6112's complete lift is around $1700 with UCA's, can anyone chime in on how they compare with the entry level stage 1 Icon lift(same price) and Fox level 1 lift which is cheaper.

I ask myself that same question all the time, sure there are some people that are like that but not most.

True, but just seeing people talk about the lean and how the lift settles some made me wonder. It would be much easier to change if you could turn a wrench rather than having to remove them, take off the coils, adjust the clip, put the coils back on, and reinstall. Or am I wrong about how each kit adjusts?

Spring rate is 600lb. Not sure about length. Mine settled to 1.75 on the 3rd notch. I have a cap and the rear has about 1/2inch rake with the progressive 3 leaf and overload removed.

3000 miles on my 6112/5160 setup so far and I'm very happy. Went through Headstrong Offroad.

We all know the lean is there. To install without accounting for it is foolish. Dont forget you usually need to buy the spanner wrench for another 75 bucks or whatever. I mean if i was racing the truck, it might help. But wven my last car i tracked often had adjustable dampening and rebound, i got it where i wanted and left it. Kinda like my truck. Ive changed the clip height once and never thought "jeez wish this were less hassle so i could change more often"

I know Headstrong gives the extra spacer to account for the lean so that would be put in for sure. I thought that the wrench came with the Toytec kit. I am trying to decide between the two kits myself and am going back and forth on the usefulness of the adjustability since they are the same money. Of course, I have also considered the less expensive 5100 kit from Headstrong as well, which I could get for about $700. Not sure how I want to go. I see most people on this thread seem to have the Bilstein 6112/5160 kit and really like the way it rides, so that is a factor heavy in its favor.

Dont get me wrong, im sure the 5110 is a great setup. Tried and true. But why not go with the biggest latest greatest for little more? Factor in the springs and shocks were engineered to work together and you dont need to buy ome or reuse stock, and it seems like its close to same money. Cant comment much on the boss kit. I think total im around 1500 in suspension for 6112/5160, spc uca, bolts, sway bar brackets, carrier bearing shims and aal.

I am leaning heavily toward the 6112/5160 set up because I have read so many good things about Headstrong as a company and people to deal with. I just have to keep my wife from finding out what I spend! At least I will be able to recoup some cost by selling the suspension from my OR once I get it and install the 6112/5160 kit.
