dont get me wrong, the first gen is phenomenal, however the room offered in 2nd gen is so much better especially not having to upgrade in the future when i have a family

If you live in a warm dry climate then a 1st gen is great. Where I live age kills a truck, newer is better when you drive 30k miles a year on back roads.

People are crazy about these 1st gens. Came home one day to guy up the street wanting to buy mine.
One day it was at shop getting repairs and done sitting out front, another young guy stopped and offered me $8500

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The dealer would probably only offer half of that...then turn around and sell it for $13k...

The 2nd gen hood is larger and flatter for sure. However, your leveling kit (standard on the Pro) isn't helping. Adding 1" rear seat risers will help: Seat lift

Just got back into a first gen 04DCSB after selling my 15DCSB. I loved my 2nd gen cause it had more cabin space and all kinds of little storage to put stuff but i felt more comfortable in my first gen so i went back. Both are great trucks which ever you decide upon

The 2nd Gens definitely don't have the visibility the 1st Gens did. I have the opposite problem, I can't see anything above me and this includes traffic lights, and a base jumper in Moab who almost landed on my hood as I drove down a narrow canyon. I have to drive like a hunchback sometimes just to see, which is actually pretty easy given the posture of the 2nd Gen seats.

Also, the rear view mirror is RIGHT in the middle of the windshield. Thankfully a gentleman on here was able to provide a relocation bracket for that.
