I stumbled into this on YouTube. Its FNV based. It appears to be a couple weeks old. Edit: Nope, reading comments, apparently uploaded before.

Valentine's not at his office or at any settlement. I lost him right around the time I did a quest with the railroad with the tunnel option

You have the vault 88 DLC? Pretty sure there's a settlement management terminal you can make that tracks all companions.

I also had Ada and a couple other NPC's get stuck on terrain...for instance, Ada was 'hung up' underwater in between the commonwealth proper and Spectacle Island. She was up against one of the pipe sections...and she'd get about halfway up the side of it, then reset-glitch back down to where the base of the pipe tube met the sea floor. She was there for 2 weeks before I got pissed off trying to wait for her and went back and traced her path from where I dismissed her last to the island.

Not yet...been working on a funky issue with the 2K QA folks about a bug that resurfaced in the last Civ 5 update for the last couple days. I think I got that squared away tonight actually, so gods willing and the creek don't rise, I'll get some FO4 time tomorrow

Is that out at the edge where the land bridge meets the island ?

I had another weird issue there last night , after repelling a trapper attack , all the settlers still roamed around with their guns drawn for an additional couple game days , nobody worked , nobody slept

I just started playing a few weeks ago and love it. Just now split ways with father because I let the synths go, is that even 10% of the way finished? I'm sure it's going to be awhile before I get the add on like far harbor.

It depends on what you call 'finished'. If you mean only ... and I'm holding back as much spoilering as I can here... finishing up your dealings with the Institute, then you're about a third of the way through the Main Quest, IIRC

That said, the Main Quest is maybe a quarter or less of what there is available to do overall. Probably a lot less, actually. The Commonwealth is YUUUUGE

I just got kicked out and I think our ties may be cut but surely there is a lot left in the game because so much of the map hasn't been discovered

    Yep.

Again, trying not to give too much away for a first timer...you should make some other friends....Minutemen, Railroad, or Brotherhood....and see how they feel about the Institute. Also, explore. A lot. Just pick a random direction and go thataway. There's just so much to find out by accident!

Weird , the guards wouldn't go past the edge of the trees on either side of the path for me even though I stored and re-assigned the guard posts a couple times , plus crafting out there was what triggered my 4 crashes in an hour . I was trying to re-bulld the approaches to the guard posts each time I had a crash

    Hmm.

I know there was a LOT of trash, scrub brush, fallen trees, etc out in that area that I cleaned up/scrapped to get out of the way. Perhaps they are having issues pathing around that stuff? I dunno.

I've met all those guys but not sure a direction to lead, I do need to just explore by picking a random spot like you said.

Each of the factions also have their own storylines and repeatable quests. Some can get old after a while, yea, but doing them a few times to see the world is a good way open up the map and get XP & drops

Talk to EVERYone in town or at the faction bases, you'd be amazed at how many little flavor side quests there are
