That sticker was an event that made bonds grow stronger. Sometimes shit goes down in big bear. Equipment failures happen no matter how much we prepare. We did however get Taun Taun (@YotaGurlIAm 's truck) down Jacoby Canyon though. This was a team recovery.... Nicklovin' and Kyle were also there. Haha

Why let it disappear? This is what off-roading is all about. Not Everytime is a enjoyable time. Sometimes casualties happen. It's the nature of the beast. Each casualty is a learning experience for all. There was a handful of us that made the moves to get Taun Taun down the trail. There were 2 handfuls that watched the more experienced do just that. It was a win for everyone. I hope those watching learned something. Tying a uca to an axel with a ratchet strap is something everyone should know how to do.

Edit: if anything that whole situation should be a survival write up. :)

@goblue82 Respek! Same to all who busted their ass getting the Taun back on all 4 and down the mountain.

Danny, I feel this one's going to last a long time hahaha

Word. Those little orange straps serve their purpose but having some heavy duty straps like snap on on hand are clutch.

I have a spool of the same in my recovery bag. It's helped me out many a time. Good for fastening shackles too. Some people use a zip tie but that wire i trust more in the middle of nowhere

Dude talks a big game and has all the answers when he's near google but in the middle of nowhere I can't rely on that jive. I need mcgyvers such as myself or several of the other members here. If he just kept it real I would be more than happy to help him out.

I regret to inform that I will be unable to participate in our 2nd Annual RCRC event in Big Bear.:(
This is because I will be driving a U-Haul truck helping with a cross-country move and I can't accomplish both on the same weekend.
    :turtleride:
I know you all are in good hands and a great weekend lies ahead. I look forward to other events in the future - been too long since I have seen some of ya'll.
