Since April and to date I've had two 2016 tacos. First up was a real nice SR5, AC, 4x4, 2.7 which I traded last month for a TRDOR and the only reason I did that was I decided to buy a smaller trailer for camping etc. my point is the first truck had zero issues and so far the new one is as smooth as could be. So at least for now I'm just going to just drive the dam thing and enjoy it. If it coughs up its balls one day, I'll just get it fixed under warranty.

Except that one guy on youtube who keeps making videos about how much his Ridgeline sucks and how many issues it had.

Shebitches doesn't like it because its high off the ground, high to climb into. I suggest then a Ridgeline which is lower so you don't crinkle your dress anymore getting in.:facepalm::facepalm:

I'm happy to hear that you got a truck without the known issues.
I had an '02 Tundra with a few of the same problems,,,, rear end clunk for one. Toyota isn't fixing some of their problems. I learned to live with it but I'm not about to take a chance on getting a "good one" until Toyota steps up and does something about the vibration issue.

I want a Tacoma in the worst way because I need something larger than my JK.
Knowing that Toyota hasn't been able to deal with these issues I will keep waiting and watching. The twins don't interest me and I'm still unsure about the Ridgeline. Until a fix happens, I'm not taking the chance.

I'm happy for the guys with zero problems. Wish that I was one of them

If you are serious about buying a new Tacoma, my advice is, stay off the internet and go test drive as many different models as you can.

If I stayed off the internet I wouldn't know about the poorly designed Tacoma now would I?

I think that is effing crazy to tell someone to spend good money on something and to NOT research it. DO YOU BUY WITHOUT RESEARCHING???? Not me. I research everything before I buy it.

As far as the Tacoma goes,,,, I wouldn't hesitate to buy any Toyota product if it was just a few that had issues, AND that Toyota showed some interest in getting things right. Well,,, it isn't just a few and Toyota doesn't seem to care.

Exactly. That's the dumbest advice you can give. Fuck. First think I do is research the hell out of a major purchase (my house, cars, appliances, weapons, etc.).

Which is why I purchased a mint condition 04 TRD Offroad. Zero issues, bulletproof motor, tons of support/parts/upgrades and this great forum for education/advice/entertainment

Ignorance is a choice too many consumers embrace.

Neither of those two things are true. Toyota has fixed every minor issue and is working on the howling diff. What serious problems are there that aren't fixed or in the process of being fixed?

Thank you for responding without name calling. I am seriously looking for answers.

The things that I have been reading about are mainly the vibration around 2100 rpm and the tranny issues. I have read that there is a TSB but many comments indicate that it isn't a great fix.

I am unable to read every post so I have no doubt missed a bunch. That is why I posted this thread.

You said that Toyota has fixed every minor issue. Minor issues don't bother me. There are some that are what I would call rather significant.

No one is trolling. I'm looking for answers about known problems so I can decide which truck to buy. Glad to hear that you won't be making UN wanted comments. Ciao
