I think you are on the right track with your thought process. A DCLB OR w/ tech package will get you more than a pro (a long bed, moonroof, comparable technology). The only thing you'll miss is badging and suspension/wheels. If you planned on doing that yourself then there is no reason to get the pro.

Same reasoning, you can get any color, tech package or bed length and add the suspension you want or be limited in choice to 3 colors and shortbed for the PRO.

This is assuming you want the JBL premium system and aren't going to be putting in a different sound system like I want to.

I was out of the Pro market when I heard no long bed will be available. Got my fully loaded OR and all is well

Biggest con- not being able to take pride in the work you put into your own truck. My pro poser. But better than a pro.

I can't tell if you are agreeing with me or arguing? with me. The tech package isn't the same thing as the package with JBL afaik. So, I think we are making the same point. It still make since to just get the OR and customize it as you want. The tech package just gives you the moonroof, BSM, backup radar stuff. Thats not really stuff you can add yourself.

I'll tell you what, reading the 6112/5160 thread gives me ideas to give my QS longbed OR Pro like performance.

I haven't searched the specifics but does the Pro use the same UCA as the stock OR? Height has only been bumped up an inch all around so I'm assuming so.

    Anyone have the details?

In that case you should have started with a 4x4 SR5 so you could add your own front and rear lockers :) Nice truck by the way.

Thanks, haha yeah I even have my limits too. I had to have a sunroof. I couldn't beat paying what I did and ordering the truck exactly how I wanted it.
