Love the color, and congrats on getting it in a stick. I was trying to find the same truck back in July, but could only find it in white. So,... Planning on lifting it or keeping it stock?:stirthepot:

Thanks almost everyone for the positive comments, I appreciate it!

Vikings suck but to each their own :cookiemonster:

Yes, Saint Albans. What about you?

Thank you, so far I am trying very hard not to want to lift it or anything. My GF is already telling me that my truck stock is a "city boy" truck and that I need to lift+wheels+tires to get it back to a "country boy" truck :mudding:

Oh they rent them out. We don't do anything like that here. And you'll never find one at enterprise. Pretty much all we have around here. I think there is maybe a hertz or Avis still around but they won't have any new tacomas either. Still a decent idea to get the feel for one but I think the same can be done with a overnight test drive, or extended one. They may not be happy with you wanting to take it overnight and they may not allow everyone but we do allow it, especially if they know the customer is a good customer and on the fence about buying. Just not sure how they'd feel bringing it back with a couple hundred miles on the odo. Lmao

No. I am thinking that some folks are just extremely tolerant or insensitive to these kinds of vibration.

+1 love mine, have't noticed the vibes.

Edit: my truck was manufactured in July if that has anything to do with it.

or maybe their truck has no vibration issues to report.

You should probably take your own advice and drive more trucks before assuming they all have the problems listed on TW and that the majority of owners not reporting issues might really mean they're not having issues.

I am planning to. Not too many manual TRDs sitting on the lots, however.

My issue is that the problem appears inherent to the design of the truck (even Toyota says so), so it's hard to blame it on manufacturing tolerances.

But, hey, I totally want to believe your truck (and majority of them) is completely free from the buzzing vibration issue.

Yes I did ask about the seats. Even with a factory order....no such luck. However, I will admit I did not push the issue too much as the seats do not bother me.

I happen to like the sliding window, especially with the power feature. Without a moon roof, it will cool off the cab pretty quick on a hot summer day.

Thanks for the nod to my '15. I appreciate that. I always work a deal with how much I am paying "out the door" so I do not have an exact figure for a trade.

Here is what I posted on the "what did you pay" thread...

Trading in my 2015 shown on my Avatar. Ordered a '17 Sport, access cab, automatic, tech package, floor mats, inferno orange with orange accents interior.

Out the door....including PA sales tax, title, transfer, etc, etc .......$7985.27 plus my truck.

I live in south central PA.

MSRP with $940 shipping is $37,078. Taxes, title transfer, etc, etc, yielded a final cost close to $38,000. Based on that, around 30K for my trade. I paid 32K for it over (2) years ago.

I am quite happy with my deal.

Well, for me....I was never all that happy with my '15. Just personal reasons. I like all the stuff the new ones have that mine does not. Plus I really wanted an orange one and the rumor is that orange paint will be dropped after this year. I think I got a good deal.

Finally, my younger son is a TOYOTA Master Tech with advanced certifications.

Quote from him.."Dad, get a 2017, you will have nothing to worry about".

    Congrats!

Other than the new techs and better gas mileage, how does the 3rd gen compared to 2nd gen in drive train? do you notice any difference?
