    AROO :muscleflexing:

Your boy finished the Spartan Sprint today. Been a crazy day so I'm just getting around to unwinding. First, I didn't read the fine print on my groupon and apparently that was NOT registration so we got stuck in the final wave of the day which didn't go until 2:45 (we thought we'd be going at 11:15:bananadead:).

Once we got going it was so awesome. The course was 4.75miles long and I think about 1/2 mile was the longest we ran between obstacles but most of the time they had a few back to back. It took us almost 2 hours but a lot of the obstacles had lines and then they were stationary or where you had to carry something so walking was a must. So glad I didn't lift all week. I was fresh. I also scooped some Hyde about 15min prior and it hit me hard about 30min in. The tingle was a welcome feeling.

Only missed 1 obstacle which meant I had to do 30burpees. It was the javelin throw so I don't even care because that has 0 strength to it and is 100% technique which I've never done before. And I actually launched the thing over the hay bail into the giant Spartan head on top so I'll call that a win. Too much power FTW.

The rope climb at the end was my favorite. We watched it all day as we waited to get an idea of how to do it. People were wrapping their foot and stepping on the rope to create tension so they could stand up. It looks easy. It was not. When we finally got to it I watched for a few minutes again and said F this and went all arms to the top. It was such an awesome feeling to smack that bell. My wife got some sweet vids which I've got on Facebook but I don't think any of you bros are friends with me :pout:

Here are some pics at least

And then my wife and I went to a Hootie (Darius Rucker) concert. What a day :goingcrazy:

I got a little old lady that came up to me when one as doing some triceps dips and said she was very impressed! Made me feel good. I had just don't skull crushers, rope pull downs, seated triceps extension, and tricep push down machine and I wasn't tired so I decided on dips on my way to the ab machine to get and extra workout and I gotta say that's the one that got me tired. I still had enough energy to do 3 sets of 12.

Maybe it was the pre or maybe it was all the tamales I had the night before haha. That's carbing up right? Lol

I'm sore today, not a whole lot but enough to feel like I had a good workout. Today will be. Shoulders and back.

You guys with big lats, what's your favorite essercise for getting some wings? Wide grip pull ups?

Mine was 24 hour back in college. Can't count the number of times we'd hit a workout at like 1 am, then go to Wal mart and buy frozen pizzas and a half gallon of ice cream and eat the whole thing.

Honestly it was awesome. My neighbor (who did it with me) and I were already talking about doing another one on the way home. The obstacles were awesome and were exactly what I was looking for to test my strength gains. I hate running and was dreading that the most (well actually I really didn't want to do any burpees) but you forget about it because you are just looking forward to the next obstacle the whole time and you don't even realize you are running to get there (and like I said I think the most consecutive running was 1/2 mile).

The next one in NC is in Concord in April. I'm pretty sure we will be doing it if you want to join.

The only knock I will give it is for spectators. Our wives came with us to watch and were pretty miserable the entire time. They charged $25 just to get in to watch and you really only get to sit at the finish line and watch the 3 obstacles right there. I was thinking it would be where they could walk along the entire course and see everything but that was not the case. So they watched with us for the time we were waiting to go and then they had to just sit there for the 2 hours we were going through it waiting for us to show back up. They both said they won't be tagging along if we do another...

Edit: I thought you said feedback haha not Facebook...it's going down in the DM

Also I forgot to mention for you thick legged guys...go to Costco and buy Some urban star pants. Its like their house brand pants I think, but they are like stretchy denim. I looove them. I didn't get them for the thick legs but more so the dexterity +10 it gives you. I can do kicks if I needed to. Freaking awesome pants. Also they have shorts there too and they're stretchy materials.

    Do it.

I maybe down for that. I plan on cardio-ing while I bulk so hopefully I can run for 5 minutes and not feel like dying by then.
