Well the 40 is louder then the 50. I have the 40 and when accelerating it has a deep tone, and when cruiseing it gets very quiet almost cant tell its there (this is around 45-60) but if you go 60+ speeds it gets very noticeable.

on my 06 i had the delta flow 50, sounded decent outside, hardly noticable inside...i just traded it in for a 2010, but this time i want something alittle louder then the 50, so i'm gunna try the delta flow 40, this is what flowmaster says about that model:

"Designed to minimize interior resonance, the 40 Series Delta Flow Muffler offers an aggressive exterior tone. The 40 Series Deltas Flow helps increase torque and horsepower on many late-model performance cars and trucks"

so to me it sounds like maybe with the delta flow it will be quieter in the cab, but loud outside...i guess i'll find out next week :D

I have the dual catback w/ the 50 series. Compared to stock...you can definately hear it in the cab but it's not that bad. It sounds ricey in the cab - but Thank God it sounds good on the outside.

    X2

I never noticed any loss in horsepower. It breathes better, sounds better, and better throttle response in some cases (the other cases, I blame the throttle-by-wire).

I'm sure if you add a better high-flowing intake, you'll see some good horsepower gains with these aftermarket exhaust kits.
