That's normal. A lot of Second gens have 2 different plugs from the factory. Read up a little here. It's very common. I do doubt they were changed though. Maybe the dealer did that but that's likely from factory like that.

^^^^^ that's normal...if you buy replacements from the dealer (highly recommended for that, one of the few things to actually get from the stealership) you should get all new densos.

So you think the dealer did the same as the factory line when it was made???

I highly doubt it. Those are likely factory plugs.

When I first read your post on thought you were trying to say that someone changed only half the plugs or something. Then I realized what you were trying to say. Basically I think someone falsified that the regular maintenance was performed.

Doubt it seriously. Those are probably factory plugs. Have you paid to have them changed twice and they left them both times?

I had a somewhat similar situation, got a used 2013, one owner, Toyota certified, bla bla bla, with 35,000 on the clock. After reading here, and the manual, realized at 40,000, I better start looking around. Was told the truck was up to date with everything, and needed nothing. First found the cabin filter real dirty, I replaced it, then removed a plug, yep no way it only had 5,000 miles on it. Went to the dealer and complained that they told me it needed nothing, yet needed plugs. They griped a bit, but changed them for me. I would have changed them, but being hard headed, I wanted them to. It's been 16yrs since I bought a vehicle from a dealer, they haven't changed a bit.

Yea I've decided this is the last dealership purchase lol ... Salesman exact words "car is gas n go, all maintenance was done by us, and ready to go!!!" I believed them because they are a huge dealership (first team auto in Roanoke, Va ... They are the biggest rip offs out there!

I am of the opinion that there is a distinct reason for two branded plugs. I have been told also by a foreign engine mechanic, and some Toyota employees as well, this is normal and you can request that your dealer use the same plugs if you wish. No harm, no foul. Just turned 150,000 on my truck and changed plugs about 20,000 back, so I'm good for at least another 50,000 with these.

These looked original ... It's shameful that people can't take care of their vehicles or that a dealer would just pass it up and charge for it, I always do as much as I'm capable so that I know it's done correctly! Just finished my mini overhaul lol:
    Front diff fluid
    Rear diff fluid
    Transfer case fluid
    Manual trans fluid
    Throttle body cleaned
    Changed plugs
    Oil changed
    New air filter
Time took: just at 4 hours (with my hot tool handing wife's help ;), she said she needs to be noted for helping lol)
Used many of y'alls pic step by step for reminders for drain and fill plugs!
    Thanks guys! Cheers!

Totally normal to have NGK in one head and Denso in the other from the Factory, my 2000 and 2008 were that way and I am sure my 2015 is the same.

I worked at a lincoln mercury dealership and the 3.0L dohc engines were a bitch to get to the back 3 plugs, (front wheel drive engine) so a lot of techs would only change the front 3 plugs and state they changed all 6! Unfortunately for most things in life if you want it done right you have to do it yourself. Ive seen different plugs on ford engines allso. From what i was told they were different temp plugs from one bank to the other.
