A handheld impact driver (the kind you strike with a hammer) and a 10mm bit/driver may work too. Have saved myself a few times with one of those on stuck stuff.

Have used that, sometimes with a flat punch, to help flatten the "damage" occurring by the allen wrench to get you one more shot at getting it loose before it's completely stripped out.

One more thought: heat the housing with a torch to help it expand a touch to help release its grip on the plug. Then, stick an ice cube to the plug to rapidly cool it before you attempt to remove.

Cordless impact driver with a T55 torx bit (for extra bite) did the trick. Thanks everyone! I better get a new drain plug from the stealership for the next time.

I would get it now... next time it might be super stuck, and it'll end up being much more of a PITA.

Just get a new pan (or nicely cleaned used one) to catch the fluid that comes out and put it back in.

Yeah I'll have to do that. I wonder how many arms and legs the stealership will charge me for that crappy little drain plug? :notsure:

But when I got home, the first question was, how much more money are you going to spend and the kids topic came :anonymous:

I really need a stash garage if I continue on buying parts
