Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I didn't use the trail as justification for armor when talking with the wife.
All the A-holes driving around memphis and the debris they leave in the road versus my new truck was my justification.
Sliders prevent door dings in parking lots.
Bumper and heavy skids protect against pallets, random bumper covers, patio chairs, and lowered civics at 60+mph.

edit: being able to take the family out camping with less risk of damage was a bonus though.

I always hear people say that when justifying buying sliders. I nor my parents have ever had one of our cars dinged from another person that I can recall. Maybe it's just the big city drivers? :notsure:

The last door ding I had was in the car I traded in for my Taco, that ding ended up being $1100 in damage. Thank god state farms deductible was $100.

But my absolute favorite thing is when I'm sitting in my truck and I hear a door slam open and hit the slider. Little paint chip off my slider and my door is still perfect. Worth every dollar.

Me and my boss watched as some guy walked out to his car (that I purposely parked close to bc he was over the line in my spot) look at my truck and slam his door into it, trying to door ding me, and dented his door on my slider. He just looked confused as fuck then got pissed and kicked my slider then left. I was literally doubled over dying laughing and my boss was freaked out because he didn't realize the dude hit my slider.

You'll say anything to justify truck mods to your future wifey. Just fact.

I do find myself parking like a dick next to those who have parked like assholes now that I have sliders. Really no fucks given any more in parking lots.
