Put mine back on and drove it to Tulsa through rain storms to see how well it held up.
No leak issues and also pushed it to 90 mph a few times...but not during the rain storms.

They used to make a screen panel. Rumor mill has it they will bring it back. For now I'm going to fab up a solution with some old patio door screen I've got.

I had this issue when off roading with my Softopper...zip tyed a couple of large...well...zip tyes to each end and the larger tye head prevents the aluminum pole from sliding now. Simple.

Would you guys recommend a soft top for a guy who camps and wants to keep
Surfboards secure in the back? Is there a way to lock the soft top?

No and No. Sounds like you are looking more for a camper shell.

No way to lock the soft top. If you want in, you just unsnap the sides or lift the back( at least we hope the thieves will and not damage the top by cutting it).

I don't know what length board you have. Is you intention to carry on top or stuff in the bed? Carrying stuff on top is not for these toppers. You would need an exoskeleton to haul anything outside.

Both good things to know. My only issue with a camper shell is when if ever I'll need to haul something bigger I'll have to take the shell off.

I mostly ride short boards 6ft and under so I'd like to lock them in the back after a session when I'm at work. Looks like a hard shell might be a better choice.

You could get one of those tonneu covers that fold out to lock just the bed, then get a soft top that you could take off easy.

That's always a possibility. I like the soft top looks but there's no security which is a bummer. Especially if we go to Baja to surf. Thanks for the input.
