I typically agree with the "too each his own" as a general rule. That is until is impacts the rights of others. The problem is blacked out lights are dangerous for everyone else on the road. It's not HIS life that would concern me. He can take whatever risks he wants with his own life. It is the life of my friends and family that he is putting at risk. Like you said... it is not worth my child's life!!!

I'm not saying don't tint your lights if that's your thing just be smart about it. Done right you can get the look without compromising safety.

 

Found out the rear bushing on my drivers LCA is shot.
Wondering if I should just replace the whole LCA myself, or upgrade to total chaos lower arms. I'm already running total chaos UCA's with uniball. A friend said I would need longer cv's if I went that route.
Any input appreciated.

 

Pretty sure TC does not make a stock length LCA for our truck. And the only way you can use the TC UCA you have now is with a stock length lower.

 

Yea the only lower arm TC makes for our trucks ins corn ing travel. And that takes way more then a longer cv.

Well...it is direct bolt on. But it's long travel. So 3.5" wider preside. Needs tundra cv axles and 8" shocks.

It's a 4000 dollar change. Haha

My problem isn't so much the tinted lights (so long as it's not excessive), it's the fact he used plastidip to do it instead of something like nightshade which is made for the application.

 

BTW you sure it's not the sending unit? Lol My fuel gauge used to spaz and that's what it was.

 

Yes! Note my choice of words "blacked out" vs "tinted".

PlastiDip really is the wrong thing to use. Although, I can think of a few ways to use in on tail lights that would work... for example, if you wanted stripes across the lights like this: Or some other interesting design. Just be smart about it and don't cover up too much of the light.

 

Went ahead and ordered a different pair of tail lights, planned on doing it eventually but on a budget and wanted a new look. You guys ripped me apart
