Had my OME Daker CS047R installed today and CB drop kit.i needed more stability in the back with the shell and gear. The AAL's were not cutting it. Thank's Jason (Speedfreak) here on the So Cal forum.
He does great work and fair prices. Also thank Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road.
885's w/ 5100's all around and Dakars CS047R's. Now to get dirty.......

Look's great! How's it ride? And did you keep the 5100's at the stock setting? How much actual lift do you think you got? Getting ready to click buy now on the same components so any specifics you can tell me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

Hey brown taco, It rides awesome, Id say it lifted the back 3 inches. Yes I originally bought the kit as OME 885's with 5100's and an AAL. So the front 5100's are at 0. front lift 2 1/2 inches. It has a 1/2 rake and I like it that way. I will be full of gear and pulling a tent trailer.

The truck rides fantastic, better than stock. It is firm ,no body roll and stops without dipping in the front.
With my shell and gear the back just sags to much for my liking and I tore off my trailer harness the next day wheeling......

    The truck rides awesome

I also used a Dremil and cut 2 inches off my 4x4 mud flaps in the back...

I am so happy with the leaf pack's it is like night and day! I highly recommend it! especially if you have a shell ..

    Headstrong off road rocks!

Awesome! Thanks for the response! So with 2.5" lift up front you did not need uca's and the alignment went fine? I ask cause I'm trying to get atleast 2" front and rear but don't want to have to do uca's. Thanks again

You should get 2 1/2 up front and NOT need UCA's. My alignment was done in speck. I was right there with him and let him know what specs I wanted and he got it within a couple specs of my requests. It rides awesome ...

So glad you are happy with the upgrade, for some trucks the AAL is enough, but for others they need the full pack, plus its much better than the stock ones being that there are more of them and thinner for a more progressive feeling.

Yea, Definitely a nice and needed upgrade. Thanks again Jason.

I have the Deaver AAL for a few bucks if any one out there needs one just P.M. me. You can have the entire stock leaf springs with the AAL already installed.

Adding new leaf springs is a huge upgrade from stock. Now it's a truck......
    Looks good..... enjoy.......

I need to do this. i'm not even running a hard shell and i'm starting to sag in the rear compared to the front after 1,500 miles or so. Same suspension up front. I'm prerunner though so I got nearly 3 inches. WOWzers it's high. Dakars will probably be my next major purchase!

Great looking truck OP. What tires? Looks like you can go bigger. I'm running 265/70/17 and i'm pretty happy for now.

Yes Zonataco My Taco is a 2015 so I am still on the stock tires and wheels, They are the BFG Rugged trails. Stock Off Road wheels... The tires have been fine in the desert and mountains and have been on some rocky trails and have done ok.
I will put on at least 265-75-16 K02's for a little more ground clearance.

Thanks FJ! I like the way your truck sits. I'm going to go the same route, with the OME coils and 5100's.
Will go 265/70/17 or 275/70/17 too.

Good to know, as I have TWO Tacomas I need to do. Stock tires are just about gone on the '11 DCSB PreRunner, it'll be the first to get done.
Ordered 8 17" TRD SEMA wheel this morning, getting started!

so no issues with the 5100s and dakars? I've read that the 5100s are not long enough for dakars

No issues.. Front- 5100's at 0 with 885's (2 1/2 "). Rear 5100's Dakar CS047R leaf packs 3". For a daily driver , weekend warrior and trailer hauler this suspension setup I would recommend.
The ride is great on and off road. No sagging with shell and trailer.

No issues after a few months.
