I didn't take any pics while I was cutting it. But you can see in my pictures that the original plastic in the bottom half is completely replaced by the winch mount.

Picture that, with about an inch of material left where that center section was and that's basically it.

Curious on how you operate the winch. Can you reach inside through the bumper? What if you had a line kink or something? How is it accessible?

Ordered mine this morning! Been eyeing these for a while, made the decision to drive instead of fly/rent for a week's trip through the southwest on a photography adventure later in the year so took the opportunity to use this as a 'reason' to 'need' one of these for the truck.

I guess it may depend on the winch you get, but my warn had the plug on the top of the control box, which means I could not reach the plug to connect my controller. My solution was to get an extension (shortest I could find was a 2' or 3') and I made a little bracket to place the end of the extension in the front of the grill. Worked out well and now I can plug in to operate the winch with no problems.

My Smittybilt x2o has a wireless controller to operate the winch. Awesome as h*** to be able to sit in the truck and winch out or get out of the damn way, in case something goes wrong, lol. It does have a cable to hook to the controller too, if the batteries die, but still going strong a year later. Another time it was handy, tractor was stuck and i needed to be on it guide it out and was able to winch while on the tractor. No looking for another person, lol.

Nice. Did the welded tie down hook on the front frame have to get chopped off so it doesn't hang out?
