Georgia actually has a law on the books now for that since last year. Not sure how much they enforce it against left lane hogs, but it is in fact now the law the you're to move out of the left lane if a faster vehicle is overtaking you.

    a.) don't assume I don't know that.

b.) I wasn't, I know that rule of the road and I never drive in the far left lane because I never drive over 70 mph.

I was in the middle lane of a 3 lane freeway, going 70 in a 65. Semis on the right, plenty of room on the left. Guy was just a monumental douche driving a massive, bro-leaning 4x2 Silverado and looking for a fight. As soon as I brake checked him, he floored it and nearly rear ended me, jumped over to the left lane and tried to run me off the freeway by pushing me out of the middle lane...all at 70mph. Fucking LA drivers.

I do my best to distance myself from stupid people so that they don`t have the opportunity to do something stupid around my truck.

I also try to stay out of people's blind spots so they don't sideswipe me and I don't tailgate like a dumbass. Always try to have at least 2-3 seconds behind the car in front of you. Also tailgating makes traffic jams worse.

Ya a lot of LA drivers give you about 0.2 seconds for you to move out of their way and then will pass you, usually on the unsafe right side too.

Hell we got people here that won't even let you change lanes, sometimes you have to partically change lanes, nudge em a little and see if they slow down and let you in. I hate doing that. It's like...do you not see my turn signal flashing for the past 5 minutes? Do I need a giant flashing arrow on the back of my truck?

That's why I try to change lanes 1 or 2 miles before my exit.

Found the picture of the JLG that decided to park next to me. I had just painted the truck like a week before. Thankfully, he didn't touch my truck.

People are careless. I just got back from the dealership to get a door seal replaced. When I went to drop it off after speaking to the advisor, some dude in his sixties was leaning on my tailgate! I asked him to please not lean on my truck, and he says ok and moves. I'm thinking, Why aren't you old enough to have common courtesy to not crawl all over other people's new, expensive stuff!?! I was nice about it and he complied, but it shouldn't even happen to begin with. I grew up such that you don't mess with other people's stuff, much less lean on someone's car without permission. I also take care of my stuff, especially expensive stuff!

Back when I had my Release Series 5.0 Scion tC and when I was in college, I was parked in a parking structure while I was at the library doing some work. I came back out to my car to find a kid using the back of my car as a coffee table, putting his stuff on it while he got his headphones out of his pockets. I just gave him a dumbfounded look and when he realized that was my car, he quickly grabbed his stuff, said sorry, and walked away.

As for my Tacoma, the worst thing that's happened so far is the maintenance guy at my apartment complex smoking while leaning on my tailgate, letting his ashes fall into my bed. I had only had the truck for a few days when that happened.

I'd have been tempted to buff the scratches out with his hair.

A few weeks ago I come out of the bar I'm playing league at for a smoke. 2 guys about 30 or so are leaning on my truck. I politely enough said "please don't lean on my truck, gentlemen". One got right off and apologized. The other just sat there and grinned saying "what I don't have anything sharp on?" I politely replied "that's not the point, it is my truck and I asked you politely not to lean on it". He looked like he was ready to open his mouth before his buddy told him to get off it. Fortunately for him as I was about 10 seconds away from really going off..and 2 of my teammates were already thinking they'd have to pull me back.

    WTF?

...^^^... I do exactly the same thing ... door dingers are not a breed that I respect ... and I don't want to do it to another person either.

I think the main thing that I am see in most of the posts here is ... "important to have respect for another person's property" ... and many are clueless or just don't give a flying f*ck about it.

I try not to piss off people so they won't scratch my truck or spit in my food at the restaurant ... but sometimes it is difficult to keep your cool ...

We had an ex employee, over lunch break, jump up on a subcontractor's personal pickup (sitting on the roof, work boots nonchalantly tapping against the back window) to eat his sammich.

On the other side of the equation, we had a site super park his lexus right next to/under a concrete truck's shoot, then threaten everyone re: any cement on his car.

Back in high school, we had auto shop class and my friend Mark bought his car in to do something. There's a couple of jocks hanging out in front of his car. This one meathead jock sat on my friend hood. My friend asked him nicely cause he's a big dude Please don't sit on my hood. The meathead just looks at my friend and went back to talking to his jock buddies about his workout routine or this new protein shake. Mark nonchalantly gets in his car, starts his car and the meathead is still not getting off his hood. Mark revs his engine, meathead sitting on the hood laughing, he revs his engine again, drops the clutch in reverse, car swoops back and the meathead fell flat on his ass. About the funniest shit I ever seen. Then the meathead got up, ran to my friends door, reached in the window and grabbed Mark's shirt, Mark rolls his power window up on the meathead's arm and then started backing the car out of the shop, taking the meathead out for a ride.

True, but I tried to be polite first. I was always taught to be respectful towards older people too, try to be polite first, then if it escalates, take it from there.

I watched this woman shove a shopping cart toward the cart coral at Lowes. The cart instead rolled down an incline and smacked into a truck right next to mine. She didn't even bat an eye. Now, I don't park at the bottom of a parking lot incline
