Hey guys, I have a pro in order. My dealer said that he has a November build date for me, but it won't be delivered until Late January??? Does this sound accurate? Why would a truck built in Texas take 3 months to get to Oklahoma? Is this SOP? I'm very frustrated.

    Thanks.

Maybe they meant that the VIN number will be generated in November.

It takes about a week from end of manufacture to dealer lot.

So, he's not painting an accurate picture.

He told me that it takes 45 days from start to finish? Whatever that means. :/

I was also told this, it's 45 days from the accepted allocation. Basicly corporate/factory accepts the build, then delivery is 45 days after they accept.

Mine is supposed to built very end of September and delivered to dealer mid October

Are we talking allocation date? It's fairly common to wait that long for a build. I ordered in October and Received in January this year. And on top of that expect the delivery to be about a week late to the dealership and then the dealership will usually sit on it for 2 days until they check it in and give you the call. Coming from my experience of working at a Toyota dealership. The dates that they hand out to the dealerships aren't set in stone. They are more or less predictions. These trucks go through a lot of different processes before they arrive in your hands. They are built, then accessories are added. Sent over rail to the region depot where they sit on the lot until they are trucked to the individual dealer. Then go through a 72 point inspection where more accessories are added, electrical systems are activated and shipping stickers are removed. Then they are added to the computer system where the salesman will be alerted that the vehicle is ready for pickup.

Awesome information guys. Thank you. This is a cement, so the production of this color won't gear back up until November 1. I knew that's why there would be a significant delay, I was just hoping to receive it sometime at the end of the month. I'm hoping for December.

I like that color, but too big of price jump for the budget
