What tires are you running? Do you drive like a madman? Is that 300 miles to the gas light or to empty?

Other than an actual issue, driving habits are the #1 thing that will affect gas mileage.

Is that 300 miles to when the gas light turns on or to an actual empty tank?

That's not TOO bad. Have you actually calculated your MPG?

That's not too bad. Gas light comes on at around 17 gallons usually, which would mean you are getting around 17.5 mpg. Unless you are driving very conservatively or 100% on highway that's nothing to worry about.

I'm getting ~350-375 before gaslight. I have a 2.7L 4 cylinder, 4x4, automatic transmission. Sounds like driving habits could be adjusted but you also have a v6...

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    300mi/21gal=~14.25mi/gal.

Switch out the iridium plugs as you aren't supercharged, none of the other mods would "help" fuel mileage beyond a 1/2mpg in/de/crease.

Without knowing tire size, lift, highway vs. street, and if you're a heavy foot (borla exhaust and intake I'd bet you drive like a 'race car') it's impossible to say.

    Seems low, sure.

Disregard my post, when I opened the thread I didn't see the above.

Yeah, I get like 220 miles, so you're doing well by my standards.

Whenever my gaslight comes on, it takes about 17-18 gallons to fill up. Never 21

You can find tons of info on this site about that. The answer is: it depends.

I am a mostly stock TRD o/r with some extra weight and it is 320-360 to the light.

I knew the iridium's played a big factor. I just put them in and spent $50 on it. I think I should take them out on next oil change.

Like I said in my first post, it really comes down to driving habits. If you wanna see proof of this just google hypermiling. I mean, no one bought a tacoma to hypermile, but there are things you are probably unconsciously doing that you can cut out....if you care that much.

The worst MPG I've gotten is 19.8.
I've been getting between 21 and 23. I've put about 1500 miles on the truck since I got it. The averages all have a combo of city driving, highway and 4wheeling. Both of the 23.xx's I've gotten were with some pretty rough 4x4, lots of 4 low and 2 low and low. (Weston pass, followed by mosquito pass one trip and cottonwood followed by tincup the other). I've been getting 88 non-etoh gas as much as I can, but mixing w/ 87 when filling up in small towns.

Now, I am not a lead foot, I keep it to the speed limit or just below. I also try to keep the truck at less than 2000-2500 rpms.
I have the 2014 dclb. Stock as far as I know.
I will post my averages and notes when I get home tonight. I keep a log book in the truck.
I don't let the truck get to light. Lowest I've gotten is just above 1/4, about 320ish miles.

I typically get 300-315 miles per tank (according to the odometer) with 265/70 BFG AT KO2 tires. When stock the truck got 315-335 miles per tank (again, according to the odometer).

If you click on my fuelly badge you'll see much my MPG fluctuates, since I'm usually either driving highway or off-road. Far from consistent, haha.

I should be getting this app. I've been keeping the receipts and putting it into a spread sheet.
