Well I sold my project mustang lastnight to my GF cousin, He dosen't have a truck or trailer to tow the car out with. I was wondering if My 2.7 5spd taco could handle the job. It's only about 10miles to his house from mine. When I had my Powerstroke it handled the task like their was nothing behind it, But I know it's a diesel.

SO will it be able to tow it a few miles???

here is a picture of my car and trailer i'll be towing...

For 10 miles I dont think you will have any trouble. I know of many people who use ther 4cyl Tacoma's to pull boats that probably are more weight than the car and trailer. Just take your time and be easy on it and you'll be fine!

6k is a lot for the trailer and car. I still think if you took it slow gave yourself alot of distance for braking that you would be ok. I have towed alot of trailers and your biggest problem is going to be the tongue weight on the back or your truck. These trucks are really tough and could handle it for 10 miles.

you can pull that no worries, just give extra room to stop, thats where people fuck up. I pull and stop my 22' boat w an aluminum dual axel trailer 100 miles to the Keys easy.

It depends on the road you're traveling. ten miles seems short, but do you have to hit highway?

I would rather hit the highway and take it slow then keep having to stop, accelerate, and slow down for people turing and pulling out.

Yeah I agree, It more important for me to get there in one piece and not tear up my truck than it is for me to drive faster!
