Bungie's Destiny

Makes perfect sense to go out and buy one thats 4k, but doesn't have a 4k compatible dvd player

Also, sony wont allow mods where MS will allow it.
Its also cross platform to PC with Windows 10

 

I've got 2 PS4's and I'll be buying the new one once it's released. I play on a 32" ultra wide 4k monitor so I'm looking forward to it. I've got a dedicated bluray player in my home theater so I never watch dvd's on the PS4 anyway. I see no reason to mod it either other than put a higher capacity drive in it but I've got 2 PS4's with the 500GB drives in them both with over 400GB's worth of storage on each of them free at the moment.

 

Mod meaning actual community designed mods like the ones in Skyrim they are releasing.

 

Meh... all I play is Destiny so it doesn't affect me.

I don't care for sniping in Destiny PvP because the maps suck for concealment and line of sight. I'd rather do close quarters fighting and just use every thing in your arsenal, until that one dick comes in with Titans Hammer or Stormtrance and screws your day up...

I just wish that the onslaught of console technology would stop for a few years so I can keep up. Just got the XB1 this year and it will be obsolete soon.

Skyrim is one of the all time greats! It's one of those games that you pretty much have to play...along with the Souls Series

 

I agree. Skyrim is one of my favorite games that I've played. That and The Last of Us

 

Everything you said is good, except the cross platform. Fuck that. I don't want to play a shooter against someone on a key board and mouse. The level of precision with a mouse is just too good against a controller.

 

If you're worried about that then get a XIM4 so you can play with a keyboard and mouse on console. Honestly there is a difference, but it's not really scene until you play at a high level. I played CS:GO at Global Elite with a controller and I did better then most of the players. It also helps that I have a background as a competitive gamer in Halo 3.

 

I play high level pvp. Not a pro but have a 2.0+ k/d in every game I play currently a 3.13 in destiny.
I used to play pc games and left master race when I decided I didn't want to upgrade every 6 months. For a skilled player the mouse and keyboard is amazingly superior.

I would like to say that I take Destiny's PvP seriously, but I can't. After Halo 3, it's hard to be competitive in any other game since Halo 3 was so successful. I'm more of a PvE sort of person in Destiny, and being part of The Legend Himself clan means just pushing the end game content to its limits as fast as possible.

Your correct. Destiny pvp has alway been a joke. The game had so much damn potential and I feel like they have missed most of it. Not all but most.
Sever issues from day 1 with horrible lag.

I think it was halo 2-3 that had the rank system of 1-50. It was beautiful. That is all destiny had to do and they messed it up.

 

To be fair, Destiny was designed in mind for the casual players. I've put a ridiculous about of time into the game that the algorithms are probably all over the place.

I could see a 1-50 system working in Destiny, but only if there was a competitive playlist that gave everyone no advantages. No matter what you do to the multiplayer right now, Stormcaller Warlocks will always be the strongest in PvP.

 

Halo 3 didnt have the modding issue like 2. Lag switches didnt last either. Of course there was ddos attacks.

Fast or first has never been our goal. Having fun is our goal. Learning the raid without any outside influence is more of a reward than taking tips from others which is what we pride ourselves on doing.

Now PvP on the other hand. When IB comes to town we dominate it. And we are building up a pretty damn good trials team so we should have that on farm mode soon.

 

Not by a fucking longshot lol. I play a stormcaller and can get shot out of it pretty quick. Hunters pretty much own PvP right now with the current meta. Their ability to evade with smoke, tether with shadowshot, or go into blade dance which is damn near unstoppable makes them OP. WL really brings nothing to the table in PvP other than a revive (used at the correct time) in Trials. Stormcaller, which can do damage, is way too easy to get shot out of. Trust me... I know. I've been shot out of it and have shot others out of it easily. Bladedancers = OP.

*EDIT* I've had a bladedancer survive a nova bomb before. That's how OP they are.
