Pretty sure those prices are there, I think they were updated/confirmed in the past couple days.

Edit: just looked in my notes. Invoice (SouthEast Toyota) for 2017 4x4 DCSB auto incl delivery is $33,103; then add $2702 for P&T JBL and $579 for Tow. $199 for carpet mats and no price for D-rings, they seem to be included on SET trucks as every one on the lots has a pair. So $36,583 invoice for that build here, putting you at $337 over invoice with only TTL to add for driveout.

That is what I'd call a solid deal for here. Outside SET I can't say but would think it seems good.

Yes, figure that out at home long before you show up.

Your credit union can help you with that if that sort of math isn't in your wheelhouse. Or if not them, I'm sure plenty of us here would be happy to assist.

Thank you sir for the confirmation! Your numbers match mine. This is Gulf States though - I have $32153 invoice + $940 delivery fee = 33093...maybe the delivery is $950 now?

No wonder the dealer threw in the D rings...

I thought it was a solid deal as well being < $500 over invoice, which seems to be the standard "good deal" around...

Excellent advice. That is exactly what I did. Don't discuss or mention anything about a trade in. I got as much as I could out of the deal for the new truck then I hit them with trading my 06 Tacoma. At first they came in low on my 06 Tacoma I told them that is not what I expected and I am not sure if we can make this deal. Ten minutes later the general manager shows up and gives me this song and dance about how much they wanted my business. Ten minutes after that they gave me an additional 1700.00 for my trade. Don't show them that you are excited just show them that it's no big deal if I get the truck or not. Also your credit score can help you a lot Dealers are not going to waste time with people who have boarder line credit unless they can tell if you are desperate

@brownmound SET delivery fee is $950.

Dealer making a production of throwing in something that was already included for free... Imagine that! LOL

google has a built in "auto loan calculator". you can either do it based on payment + int rate + term and find the max loan you can get OR you can do loan + int rate + term and get the payment. https://www.google.com/?ion=1&espv=2#q=auto loan calculator

this assumes you know how to figure tax and all fees yourself. if not, the edmunds calculator can do that. i have yet to find one that will give you the tax on the difference if you are trading in a vehicle. http://www.edmunds.com/calculators/simplified-pricing.html

That is where I did wrong. Those fees were not mentioned in my previous emails with that dealer so I assume not included.

Well, I have moved on to talk to other dealers now :)

Did they mention them to you? If not, this is where you still have room to negotiate.

If their offer is worth it, then when you sit down and get the "shock of more charges", I am not paying those...you might be able to at least cut in half. They may say well state required, every one pays the same or these, yada yada yada. You respond with knock of the amount on the price.
Again don't give up yet, but for sure work some other dealers.

Of course they weren't. They love telling folks they'll sell the car at invoice then stack a bunch of other charges and fees into the deal once the buyer has emotionally committed to the sale. This sort of bait and switch is EXACTLY why I *only* talk about numbers in terms of Out-The-Door (aka Drive-Out).

I can back-calculate the tax/title if I need to, but negotiating on a Drive-Out basis is the best way to ensure they're including all of their junk fees. Otherwise you're leaving yourself open for a surprise to the tune of $700 to $1000 or more.

Still waiting for my truck to come in, but the sales agreement i have has a bottom line number written in matching what we discussed. I don't care what's above it, they can fiddle things however works for them, I don't care. Bottom line out the door number is what counts.

I just got done with my deal,
2017 DCLB TRD OR with Tech & Premium w/o JBL, and mudguards was $35,900 + 399 Documentation Fee + TTL

MSRP was $39,235 with no trade in

I also ended up getting the Toyota Extra Care Premium for 8 years, 75k miles, $1335. I drive around 8k a year. Not sure if I will keep or cancel. I have 30 days and pay a $50 processing fee.

    Thoughts on this?

    Shop the warranty.

I have no idea if thats a good price on warranty or not, just out of principle always shop the warranty. Only better to do it as you approach the end of the factory warranty since a lot can change in 36,000/36mo.

Moving this here from the 2016 thread since I had posted before this one was created. I put down the deposit on this a while back after negotiating price.

    2017 DCSB SR5 4x2 4cyl
    w/ Appearance package
    +Carpet Mats

    $25,079 + TTL

No trade in or anything. Being GST their MSRP was a around $28,800.

Can you tell us what the MSRP was? The only way to judge whether the deal is good or not is to know the MSRP and the price paid (including dealer fees) before TTL and warranty.

I edited the original post, MSRP was $39,235. I'm happy either way.

I have a feeling most of the "deals" are coming from low balled trade-ins. I'm currently working with multiple dealers, some even out of state, with my current no trade in situation the best I can get deal is around $1000 off msrp on a AC SR5 trim.

Could folks please list if they have a trade in. If so, list the make/model, trim, mileage, trade in offer.

I updated mine to reflect no trade in. I am selling my car privately. Someone is coming to look/buy it today actually which works out absolutely perfect timing.

OK, this is what I believe my current deal is, I say believe and current as the last time I talk it was on the phone with the dealership trying their best to keep the deal together.

17, Sport, Double Cab, v6, 6 speed manual, MGM
    According to NADA
    Invoice MSRP
    Base-- 30,642 33,075
    Dest 940 940
    Sub before acc- 31582 34,015
    Tow 579 650
    Mud 80 129
    5" Black Tube 320 469
Floor liner and Sill 139 209
    Roof Rack 279 399
    Sub with Options 32,979 35,871

Out the door 21,350 with trade.
    Truck cost 33,205.74
Trade 13,500.00 (2009 Taco, under 53K) (think I should get another 1k with trade, might try to sell for 15K)
    Sub 19,705.74
    Doc Fee 499.00
    Sub 20,204.74
    Tax 1,111.26
    Tittle Fee 33.00
    Arbitration 1.00
    OUT THE DOOR $21,350

I work hard for this, used multiple dealers, (one I wish was closer as I would have payed more for but was happy with), put down a deposit and requested it back once, had a few phone and email conversations about treating me fair not like a moron. I figure I am about 225 over invoice, other than the trade I am happy.
