Literally a built-in, mechanical shutter inside the viewfinder. Sure beats using the rubber cap (I shoot with a Canon body not "high end" enough to have the built-in eyepiece shutter).

Better to ask what I have not done.
 for me though it is applied to statics... the teacher literally does not explain how to do the problems he writes on the boards and he is pulling them from the book, but if you look at the book and the examples before the problems it makes complete sense.
so today after listening to him ramble last week i just brought in my physics hw and did that the whole class and then looked through the chapters we covered today and it made sense and now i am explaining how to do the statics hw to my buddy's that paid attention to the class. all exams are open notes and so far the first one has been 4 questions on one page and took 10 minutes to do. so we will see how the semester continues

Wow what a similar class lol. I'm just taking calc 1 this semester and this guy is brand new to teaching...he just graduated and he trys to explain shit but fails miserably is when I do homework I look at the chapter examples and it all makes sense. He overcomplicates the material and it pissed me off. I feel sorry for some people in that class as they have no idea what's going on lol. And we have weekly quizzes that are usually 3-4 questions hopefully the tests are short too lol

Listening in on the Night Photography class... and talking car trails. I've never tried it, and something which didn't dawn on me... using neutral density filters at night to elongate the exposure time to allow enough traffic to pass and fill in the light trails. Makes sense, just hadn't thought of using them at night.

Im excited to play around with long exposure photos. I really like how water looks and think if i can find a water crossing where the truck can sit in and i get a picture of that would be an awesome shot

I finally found where I hosted a pics I did with my little Canon G10 which has a built-in ND filter. Even being a point-n-shoot class camera, the G series is pretty powerful. Not the best image, as I was hand-holding and the light was harsh on the treetops:

Yeah, there was a lot of mist from the waterfall. I have some of steam from the hot springs, too:

Everything in these areas was covered in ice from the cooling steam:

The G10 does a good job with close-up as well:

It's how I 'cut my teeth' with digital, and eventually moved into a DSLR so I could swap out lens, etc. as I was feeling limited.
