Okay, looks like those are another different OEM running board. Not the Cast Aluminum ones I mentioned. That'd explain the price difference as they're plastic and metal core. Not saying that's bad, I use the plastic on metal board four four years on a jeep and they were great.

US Part # appears to be PT212-35055 for double cab, PT212-35053 for AC.

Amazon claims they don't fit 2016+ but I'm unsure if that is accurate. Probably need to chat with dealer on that one.

Digging into the Questions/Answers & Revies on the Amazon listing for the double cab it sounds like they do fit the 2016s, and thus should fit the 2017s, even though Toyota lists the more expensive cast aluminum ones I mentioned for 2016+.

    Hmmm...

I like the look of these! It helps they are $300 cheaper than the molded aluminum ones made for the 2016+

My opinion, steps look much better than the running boards. I have Magnum RT steps which run about $350 (very reasonable). These are very strong steel and powder coated black. Very good customer service and support. I think they are running a special right now that includes their step lights (retails $90). My steps have diamond cut stamp and protects from door dingers in the parking lot. Also, added protection from rocks when you off-road. Good luck in your search!

As for your canopy anchoring is a must. Also get some rope and tie it together with rope so the tubes cant pull out from each other. I used 1/4" surplus yellow poly rope and then put the canvas on top of it. When the wind hits the canvas if the poles pull apart the whole thing collapses. I live in the San Gabriel valley and don't get the wind you do. I get 2-3 years on a replacement top. I have to replace mine this weekend. I buy replacements direct from shelter logic. I bolted angle tabs to my concrete slab and tied down to that. You can get screw in the ground dog anchors pretty cheep since your on dirt and tie down to those which would be better than nothing. Cheep orange ratchet straps are easy to use to tie down to the ground but need to be replaced about every 3 years if out in the sun. But in your case with the side panels you can run them inside out of the sun.

If it was just me making the decision my choice in steps would be different but I have 2 little ones at home plus a petite wife so the boards are for them. The only say I have is the color (black) and that they don't hang low. So far the wife likes the most expensive options...LOL, I was thinking it was going to be the opposite way around! Her front runners are the molded aluminum boards.

I hear you, RB do better with little ones. Just so expensive. I remember I paid $1,200 for generic looking aluminum RB for my Acura MDX.

Very nice! So, these will fit a 2016? I love the slim look and design. Amazon and Toyota websites say, "they will not fit my vehicle?" Just wanted to make sure before I order. Also, do they bolt on?
