I've been playing this game called "The Crew" and it just has much potential but sucks so hard. Lots of games now are turning into these Freemium platforms where you gotta dump tons of cash to get good characters/cars/whatever. The game is setup great, big open map, online races, dirt/street/drag/track/tricks/racing etc.

Play for hours and hours to reach level 5.... I go online, people are at level 40 and up for the most part. Chatted with a guy and he basically said if you want to race, you need to go dump money into the game to unlock cars that don't suck.

Fucking freemium....

 

Yeup... People will pay.


At least some games are returning to the ability to earn vs buy content. Gears 4 and even Destiny is returning to it. Its just takes a lot of grinding to get there vs hitting the pay button.

 

That's kinda the issue though. I can't level up to play online unless I want to either:

A. Loose, and loose badly due to under powered cars/bikes.
B. Fork out at least $60 to 'catch up' so I don't have to play 300 hours.
5. Play for 300 fucking hours until I'm beefed up enough then nobody will be playing it online anymore.

 

awww man.. it lasted a while tho so no surprise.

that game blows.. potential yes.. but fell short quite a bit imo. graphics are subpar. driving characteristics are super cheesy. etc. but I agree.. the throwing money at games is stupid.

try the Battlefield 1 Beta if you have the time.

 

I'm just glad the sub didn't die and it was the passive radiator. Otherwise that sub would of not been worth it to me.

Yeah I got the game for $7 with all the expansion packs. I figured out how to set it to make it drive really good. Just leveling up is so shitty.

I downloaded the beta, haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

I think COD killed themselves awhile back. I haven't really enjoyed one of those games in a long time. I think Black Ops was ok but I cant' remember.

I never got a chance to get to play the beta for Battlefield.

 

its so damn fun. and looks absolutely amazing. I was crushing it the other day. went 20-12. #1 squad and #3 player out of 32. we were just on point and working together.

Which is funny because I talked about wanting this controller pages ago, and now that I see it again I still want it but that damn price tag is still there hah.

All my stuff in my home theater is black, hell even bought a black wii just because the white one bugged me. I don't know why M$ thinks an all white Xbox is the way to go right now. I'll wait until it's black or they release the xbox one S2 or whatever stupid name they give it.

 

I like my PC tower but the HDD cage give me hard drive humming noises. I've been trying all the tricks I know and it keeps coming back. So frustrating when I think it's good, then a bit later, hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm,...
