Damn, that cut in the top of the bucket tp clear the hose weakened that alot I would think.

 

Not as much as you'd think. The coil overs keep everything together.

So any of you that bought these...what are your thoughts? Stiffer at all? Noticeable at speed? How bout a review...I'm either going with this or TC coil bucket stiffeners but I would think this would tie them in better.

 

I did the TC coil bucket gussets and this. Once I had Austin at Wolf-Fab.com make my crossbar I could tell the difference as the coil buckets no longer lean in on each other during heavy loading. If you intend to do heavy flexing or moderate to high speed desert / trail running then I highly suggest looking into these as well as the TC gussets.

 

For those with this brace and second gen, do you have to remove the bar to change air filter?

 

No, but it would make it easier. You will have to pull the bar to change the plugs.
