    Just my own experience - I've had both an 80 and 82.

    IWBO - I forgot that this gen body style continued through the 1983 model year. 84 and later had a different body style. So maybe 82 & 83 had the rectangular headlights - though the 4x4wire timeline states 81 saw the introduction of the rectangular headlights

    Yup I got one, at 505,000 miles and been supercharged the whole way with 3.4,
    Has a ton of power and a blast to drive, must faster than the new pro tacoma because its light only 3100 pounds and powerful, 300 hp and 5 speed but gas mileage is no better than an extended cab,
