hunters have always owned PvP, except for the short time after the hammers were introduced

all of their quirks work well in pvp, and their supers wreck in the trials

Exactly. Hell even hammers are pretty easy to counter. The only thing I've found that will counter a bladedancer is a well timed fist of havoc.

You put up a WL in stormtrance against a hunter in bladedance and the hunter will win 100% of the time.

Bladedancer OP? Definitely not. It's easily the weakest super in the game. The only reason people use Bladedancer is for Quick Draw and that's it. Stormcaller on the other hand has the longest melee in the game, if you're using the perk. Literally it's double the length of normal warlock melee. Combined that with a super that last for 30 seconds, when the super is active, and Ionic Blink is literally the most broken thing I've ever scene.

I guarantee you that if you ask any player that takes this game serious (tripleWRECK, sc Slayerage, WTFisPoshy, Luminosity, etc...) and they'll all say that Stormcaller is broken.

As for Nightstalker, it's a total defensive super. If you're in your super and you get tethered, that's what the super is for. Wombo Combo and Shadestep, they're all nice, but you literally have to stand still to get killed by a Wombo Combo and Shadestep is so easy to get killed in.

I've mained Hunter for more than a 1000hrs so I know how to play Hunter. Warlocks were always the game breaking class of the game. It started with Sunsinger when Firebolts and 10 ticks of burn damage were a thing. Look how long it took to get that in line and Sunsinger still pops up and is still a valid class to run.

Also statics wise, Hunters are the most popular class in the game, which is the reason you see them so often.

I won't count that as valid evidence to show that Stormcallers aren't a broken class. Player was low health and was team shot. Of course the player will die.

I'd like to hear an argument on how this sort of melee range is not stupidly broken.

Voidwalker is the most balanced class for Warlocks. Axion Bolts are a bit ridiculous, but nothing that isn't unbearable.

theyre unreliable as fuck though. sometimes they do 70 dmg, sometimes they do 3. and if you throw as you die, they do nothing. hunters dodge makes them useless too

and now that you can shoot them, theyre even worse -.-

In destiny pvp to be honest the class doesn't mean much. They all more or less have the same shit. Guns are definitely a bigger factor in how you play in trials.

We'll agree to disagree. Stormtrance is very easy to shoot out of. Very seldom do I get hit by it if I see it coming. Now if they (I) pop Landfall on top of a un-expecting group then that is nice. But I don't run when I see a stormcaller. I shoot (and usually) can get out of it.

That melee is hit or miss. Yes it is a long distance melee (with diminishing return the further you are away) but no worse than shoulder charge. I have to wait 55secs since I have built my character around Intellect / Discipline so my thunderstrike doesn't proc that often. Shoulder Charge? Every time you sprint it's almost a guaranteed kill. I do it all the time with my Titan. So melee doesn't really matter in my case since I can't proc it but once a min.

I will agree it really comes down to the weapons you use. Supers are nice but I still maintain that bladedancers are OP as Fuck. JMO

Scatter grenades for me if I play Voidwalker. If you land them close it's almost always a guaranteed kill as evidenced in the video above. And with instant health regen it's the way to go.

    true
Just the hunter quirks are the most helpful

a dodge, a knife, run and gun supers, a slide, smoke/stun grenades....

maybe theyre just the most annoying to come across

It's not OP. It's much like the Nova Bomb for the WL. One and done super. Fist of Havoc is a one hit kill but is usually just used as Fist of Panic against one person. Shoulder Charge is more OP since you can use it every time you sprint (even though they nerfed it).

I'll always maintain that Hunters are the OP class in crucible. Each of their supers is a roaming super. Golden Gun is a one hit kill that could potentially net you 3-4 kills. Shadowshot is a roaming super that if hit directly is a one hit kill otherwise you are tethered, slowed, and if you had your super active it knocks you out of it. And bladedancer.... Damn near unstoppable.

*EDIT* It sounds like I'm complaining about the hunters. I'm not in the least. It is what it is. I chose not to play a hunter so I do not have the right to complain about a class that I could have chosen but chose not to. I don't wish for a nerf to hunters because I enjoy killing them with a underdog class and that is satisfying to me. But anyone that says that the hunter isn't the best utility class in the game is fooling themselves. They bring much to the table that benefits the entire group.

All challenge modes are active and the court is rotating bosses so all fragments can be recovered if you dont have them.

So get the ToM this week if you havent already and maybe go for MoT if youre close to it.

I wont get moments of triumph cause ive been playing such a short time. No way Ill get all those kills in Crucible in time.

Court of Oryx should be pretty active today so it might be a good idea just to farm engrams off of it.
