Yeah, I ended up keeping it on because the general consensus was that I was insane haha. It does definitely add a substantial amount of added cost to maintenance though, I've learned. I guess it's worth the having boost when you want to pass someone on the freeway? :notsure:

Verbatim that's what almost every person in my first thread said as well, lol.

As I understand it, the skid in question is compatible with any bumper that works with a stock skid set-up as the one @22REthan produces uses the same stock mounting points. To name a few I know of...cbi, badlands, trail gear, arb, brute force fab, will all be compatible.

    :bored:
The gap is debatable as we went online and found a couple different gappings to choose from. Ya fuel injector cleaner definitely helped out for about 5 or 6 months for some more mpgs on the highway, probably going to add some more next time I gas up along with some octane booster. No idea last time the rear diff gear oil has been touched and pretty sure the tranny was done along with an lil change when the brakes were changed a while back

Nick have you looked around or asked the guys in the 1st Gen 4 banger section? Not saying Danny and these guys don't know there truck stuff but I'm sure those fellas in that section would have some info to help you out as well since they are riding in the same truck.

From what I've read in the 1st gen section, the 4 bangers can handle the iridium plugs better than the 3.4l can (assuming the motor is n/a) but if you did put iridiums in when you did your tune up and the truck is running worse, I'd take them out and go back to copper.

Also, the fuel filter is another thing to look at. On the 3.4l, it's a super easy DIY project...$20 for the filter and it's accessible right behind the driver's seat inside the frame rail. I've read on the 2.7 it's in the engine bay tucked up underneath the intake manifold and is a pain in the ass to get to. But with your high mileage, and if you run the cheap, no-name 87 gasoline (no judgement here, I did it all through college as well), it might be worth swapping in a new one.

Buy everything you've ever wanted now while you're in the "clear"! But be prepared for it to be brought up again in the future....

haha, well you're doing good bringing her along on the trail runs....get her involved early on while you're both way more open to getting involved in one another's hobbies. Trust me, after a couple years or three it doesn't work so easily, haha.
