Army West Point football player dies in car crash
By: Kevin Lilley, September 12, 2016 (Photo Credit: Danny Wild/USA TODAY Sports)
An Army West Point sophomore died in a single-car accident Sunday, a day after he'd started in the Black Knights' defensive backfield during the team's win over Rice.
Brandon T. Jackson, 20, was following the footsteps of his mother, an Army Reserve member and Iraq War veteran, into service, according to a condolence letter by U.S. Military Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Robert Caslen. The Queens, New York, native attended the USMA Preparatory School for a year before entering the academy, cracking the football team's starting lineup as a freshman in 2015.

No it's defintely going to be a one-off. I think the trophy was more of a commemorative souvenir

Might have another QB battle next year also.
We do need some receivers. At least somebody needs to step up this year anyway.

Alabama is just loaded right now at QB. (For now anyway, barring any transfers which I expect to happen with true freshman J.Hurts pretty much winning the job.)

Ardarius Stewart and Calvin Ridley will be NFL bound within the next two years, and Alabama only has J. Jeudy as a big time receiver commit.

I was kinda hoping he would join Calvin at Alabama, for that competitive brother stigma.

In other news, in a more personal setting, Nick Saban will be the focus of a Leader Assessment paper for my Leadership Theory and Application 300 class.

Academic journal reading for the next 6 weeks. Fancy.

I'll take anyone that can throw a ball closer to the receiver than the defender

hahahaha. Yeah, Bateman isn't bad. I think he has a hard time making really quick decisions. He actually reminds me of Manziel. He is more comfortable tucking and running unless an obvious receiver is open. I'm currently really really torn between Hurts and Barnett. Hurts is a playmaker, Barnett is a pure passer. I think Barnett has more potential, but Hurts has really made the case for himself during game time.

I haven't had a chance to catch one of your games yet this season. Been traveling way too much
