    @bobsuruncle had a kit on his rig that replaces that whole assy. Plus it gives more lift. If i didnt have only 1inch ckearance left in my work parking garage id swap it myself

    So I was reading up on Naches and it says people air down and disconnect swaybars before starting the trail. Is this necessary? I don't feel like messing with any of that...

    You can't disconnect a sway bar on tacos, only remove it. Which a lot of people do.

    As for airing down I do every time I go off road. Naches has some harder stuff in it

    But will leaving my suspension alone really hinder me? How far to you normally air down? (I'm a newbie off-roader)

    Air down every time. Tires arent cheap. I just pulled my sway bar off

    I run e rated tires so i normally run 35psi. E rated tires dont like to flex so i have ti air down even lower than normal. But fir all other tires i run 15psi offroad

    Airing down always happens when offroading because of 2 reasons. First and most importantly, airing down gives a bigger area of tire touching the ground. This provides more traction and in the cases of mud, snow, and sand, it helps you to keep from sinking in so much. Second is for comfort. Softer tires from less air make the bumps easier on you personally. The tires absorb more of any impacts on the trails.

    As for sway bars, I've never disconnected mine. Sway bar disconnect is to gain more flex by allowing the wheels to stretch farther apart. Typically, people either keep sway bars connexted full time, or they get taken off the truck completely. It isn't often you find people disconnecting the sway bar at the trailhead.

    Okay, so on to another question/ issue of mine: I see some steeper hills and stuff that may require stop and go maneuvering..... I have a manual tranny and therefore, no crawl assist, but I do have the 4x4 lo A-Trac system. How do you guys think a newbie in a manual would fair on the Naches trail (if accompanied by seasoned drivers)?

    Depends, I've heard it can get kinda gnarly and people have gotten body damage. I'd say rock sliders at the least

    :eek: Soooo, any suggestions for trails that won't do that? Yes, I know I bought an OR Taco, but come on, she's only 6k miles old..
