First of all, love the truck. No real complaints at all. And this isn't that bad of a problem, but I'm dumbstruck.

Tire pressure. I have about 200 miles total on 2017 TRD ORDC. Tire pressure was even - all at 26. Brought it in to the dealer have them fix a rattle and they inflated them all up to 31, even.

Three days later and they're all back to 26. And it's noticeable. Both by appearance and ride.

Does my truck just love 26? How could all four of my tires be defective? I could see one being defective, but geez.

Is that the dash readout, validated by a quality hand gauge?

is it cold where you live?
have you independently checked the air pressure (not relying on TPMS)?

Yeah double check with a manual gauge, and there will be different pressures at cold and hot temps.

    1. Where do you live? Hot during the day, cold at night?
    2. Are you using the same gauge? I've made that mistake myself with one being more than 10psi off.
    3. You have kids or a neighbor who might think it's fun to f*** with you?

    Thanks guys:

I live in LA. Pretty much always between 70-90. I suck, I haven't independently checked them, but they do appear flatter. I'll check them when I get home.

    Blah.

Warm pressure should 10% above the stated door jamb sticker, then check them first thing in the morning when cold or late in the evening after the truck has sat for a few hours.

Yea if they filled them while the tires are hot once it cools overnight the pressure is going to drop

I have to put air in my tires on my 09 all the freaking time, one of the reasons I need to upgrade.

Or you can just reseal your beads and or replace your valve stems.

Ya, I did this once, I honestly think the rims need to be replaced, but I am not a mechanic. Family also needs more room than the access cab.

Since I've aired down my tires a number of times, I keep a log in a notepad in the truck with all my PSi readings (hot & cold). I've tested many gauges against the TPMS and surprisingly, the TPMS was of +- .5psi from my most expensive gauge below. Whenever I'm adjusting air, I always do it as early as possible in the day.

My point is, once you set your Psi correctly with a proper gauge, the TPMS can be pretty accurate and reliable.

Same. I was surprised to see nearly identical readings between the TPMS and my Longacre gauge.

Motion Pro, allot of pro's use this for setting motorcycle tire pressures on the track, which is super critical.

Build quality is top notch and it has an pressure switch so you can easily take air out without having to disconnect the gauge from the tire.

I bought direct along with a magnetic holder for it. They make a number of great quality tools too.

There are many out there on Amazon / Ebay but most appear to be knockoffs.

Motion Pro makes good stuff when it comes to tire accessories. I use some of their tire changing products for my dirt bike. The built in pressure relief valve on the tire gauge is awesome and is a big time saver.

Thanks for the link I'm ordering one right now. I don't do Ebay anymore in fear of all the knockoffs out there. I still look for the best deal I can get but I would pay a little more to know it's the real thing.

    You won't be disappointed.

If you buy the standard (non-digital) version, make sure you get the holder. The standard version has a pressure valve on the top of the dial that can leak oil, so its best to store it upright.

    all tore up already
Are you sure they did set the tire pressure? I told em not to touch my tire pressure and still says what they came in at(correct) and says adjusted to 31 even though they dont. Think its a cya situation and maybe covering me too? Just paperwork and air anyways. I dont trust dealers and tpms much
