I've had the app crash on me easily 10 times since the update this afternoon.

BUT THANK FUCK FOR THOSE MINOR TEXT FIXES, AMIRITE?

 

Mine won't log in the first time I try to open it, have to X out while the bar just sits still then go back in and it loads the 2nd time. No crashes yet other than that. I have noticed a pop up when I close out too but haven't been able to read it yet before it vanishes

 

When I close the game, the pop up for me says to click here to open it again.

Hella annoying.

No issues here. Did go to collect gym money and only had 9 gyms to collect for which was 10 yesterday. first world probz

I see a new option go plus.... Apparently it's a blue tooth device you can sync after walking.

 

because how could that not be used to cheat... Clip that shit to your dog and let it out in the yard. Never have to let go of your phone.

 

I had mine in my pocket when I mowed the grass and it barely registered any KM for the 45min I was walking around. I don't think the dog idea would work...

I think the new update added a birthday field to the app when you first log in which is causing the crashes for people who are not new. My app wouldn't even open, just stayed on the whore Niantic screen and then would crash back to my phone's home screen. Rebooted the phone. Same issue. Deleted the app and reinstalled. First thing that popped up was to enter my birthday and then it promoted me to log in. Now it seems to work fine...

Edit: "white Niantic screen" I'll leave the auto correct though because whore is funny

 

You need a decent amount of movement for the GPS to see you actually see you go any distance. Straight lines are the best way to rack up the distance as the GPS will usually round out any turns you make during your trek.

Reading about Ditto and am making myself more confused than before. Is it already in the game and we just haven't figured out how to make it show up?

Apparently when it sleeps it turns in to a rock. Geodude's back looks like a sleeping rock.



HOW DO I GET A DITTO?!

 

The Ditto along with Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mew, and Mewtwo are not currently in Pokemon GO. They, however, are in the source code which hints that Niantic might involve in the game sometime in the near future. No one has ever reported to have found a ditto in the wild.

 

Yeah nobody has found one yet but I've read a ton of theories (most debunked, others in testing) that Ditto is already in the game and there is a way to get it (like evolving a Pikachu with a specific name or one that makes a different sound than other Pikachus).

I won't be candy crushing any more starter Pokemon in case they are Ditto in hiding...

 

Someone actually hatched one but it was a glitch in the game and niantic took it from them. Still have it marked off their dex though
