Did a compression test before replacing the fuel injectors:
    89201615409_8aae2ba55d959fac4899246a652edf7e6d3898ef.jpg
Just under 210 psi for all 6 cylinders.

    Moving right along, 8112016122825_d2b8e61ec6efa0718f25f77ba5393f22c9ba24b4.jpg

Started removing the cables and hoses from the intake plenum...

And then, removed the upper and lower plenum:

Removed the fuel rails, and r & r'd the injectors. The 10mm bolts holding the fuel pressure reg on the left rail would not budge, so I left it attached. Took off the hose instead. Tomorrow I'll put the plenum back together!

I am happy to report that my taco is now running strong!! I was worried when it tried to start and died a number of times, but upon going over all the connections, discovered the connector on the #5 cylinder coil was not fully seated - pushed it on, listened to it click, and the truck started right up! Drove it around, up hill, down hill, and had a smile on my face. The idle is great, and the acceleration is snappy.

That's awesome! What was wrong with the truck that made you replace them?

Haha Yea. But a p0302 code really just signifies a misfire which can be caused by a ton of different things; plugs, wires, etc. Wondering how he landed on replacing the fuel injectors, which is one of the most expensive parts to replace.

How? Well, it was a misfire; started doing the easy things first...New plugs, new wires, new coils: the stumble did not go away! At first, the stumble would happen randomly, then it started happening regularly as soon as the truck got to operating temp. Changed the ecu temp sensor: still did it. Then it started happening right after startup, cold or warm. I picked up a set of 6 new Aisin injectors off a fellow on Ebay for the price of one injector from the dealer, and finally got the time to r & r the injectors.

The truck came with 130k on it, so the other stuff was basically maintenance to me. The ecu temp sensor practically disintegrated when I removed it from the intake manifold...better to fall apart in the driveway than on the road somewhere :amen:

Wondering which Ebay seller you bought them from? I'm in the market for new fuel injectors myself, but its hard to tell who is reputable on ebay.
