Signing up for the Fall Crawl. Just need to figure out if I'll be able to camp or not

 

I honestly don't really mind it either. I'm one of the few people in our relatively small circle who has a truck, so I'm always doing favors for the friends we do have. I don't think I'd be able to keep up if we had more, haha!

But she gets better! Even if you turn her into a newt...

Coffee/other drinks are allowed. But the GF isn't allowed to eat in my trucks any more, because she's a crumb machine. And she dropped a piece of peanut butter toast in my Tacoma once, when she borrowed it. It landed on the floor mat so it was an easy cleanup, but still...
I put the kibosh to that in a hurry.

 

Haha nope. I've got a gray thule, with my hi lift mounted right next to it. No spare tire cover either since it doesn't fit.

 

I got excited because I thought I spotted two members in one day. Saw another member with new bruteforce bumpers front and back earlier in the afternoon.

 

Cupcake spills coffee all over the place in her Rav4..drives me insane, she treats it like crap. I clean it once a year and still feel like it's too much effort on my part.

 

some people are slobs I dread when my dad asks to borrow it. Guaranteed to get pieces of a steak and cheese dumped all over, or a sticky steering wheel.

 

Just looked at the ENH site, looks like a decent handful of Toyota's going. .

 

Cupcake has driven my truck once and I was right there..and I still cringed.

 

You won't have any issues. There will be plenty of rocks to drive over. Just get on the moderate group .

 

are any of you running an aftermarket remote starter?

 

I wish...I don't even have keyless entry

 

I had a Viper Responder LE (5704) on my old one done by Bumper to Bumper in Brockton for $499 done back in 2012. Worked flawlessly until I got rid of it. Highly recommended.

 

Bringing the convo over here:
Scrapped the long travel concept (way too much money to do what I want to do for now and for the age of the truck and the amount of rust I don't see it being worth it) and went back to a mid-travel setup - probably going with the Icon stage 4 setup with Total Chaos UCA's and a 700# spring in anticipation of an aftermarket front bumper/winch combo in the future. I don't mind a harsh ride, couldn't be worse than my evo... Also my fabricator wants to take a look at my truck - apparently he wants to start doing fab parts for it.

 

What's he want to make for it?

 

Before I left he told me he's done a lot of chassis car and promod suspension design, I jokingly mentioned that UCA's and he said to bring the truck by and he'll take a look since we are looking to diversify the shop a little. He will be helping me with my roof rack since my welding skills aren't very... well yea.

 

Holy cannoli. Another thing to save up for haha. My mission is to get the tacoma to be the perfect winter machine:

Heated seats
Heated mirrors
Remote start

 

I had probably 1/8 mile of range which was amazing, as well as two-way response to know if the alarm was armed. It was fantastic when I worked at my old position and I could sit at my desk and turn it on and know it was running in the parking lot when I couldn't even see the truck.

 

That's the exact reason I went with this one in the tundra. A friend installed it for $350.
