I will get 16 on the highway loaded down with the RTT and everything if I do 65-70. Past that it goes down hill

Really? I typically get 17.1 on my weekly tanks to and from work. That's without the speedo correction as well. So that's why I always say I'm getting over 17. I drive 70 ish to huntsville then about 60 up the Parkway and then interstate over to research park.

Keep in mind that with larger tires you can't go off your speedometer to calculate MPG. I go off my UltraGuage.

If I remember correctly, the original tires were undersized for the speedo, 265/70R17's were right on, 285's are oversized.

Hey AL guys. Do me a favor and keep your eyes open on CL or whatever for a silver shell for my Tacoma. 6ft bed, decided to switch things up and go with a shell vs the rack and now I just need to find one on CL.

If it already has rails and cross bars even better!

I always see badass rigs when I'm not in my Tacoma. Passed a white 2016 off road with what looked like a pelfreybilt front and rear bumpers. Mild lift, stock rims and sliders in Morgan city headed towards Arab

Add 3% to your mileage for your tire size.

33's should be in the 7% neighbor hood, now the 265/75s would come in at about 3%. I know according to the tire calc on this site the 255/85's are 7.5% but they are microscopically taller than their 285 counterparts

Sure sounds good. I don't drive a truck because I'm a green guy. We all lift our trucks add on armor and other crazy crap. No one here is going to get good fuel economy. Keep your foot out of it. That's the best you can do. And anyone who has wheeled with me knows I like to put my foot in it :bananadance:

Well when I get bigger tires if I drive right I shouldn't see any changes cuz right now I cruise at about 85 -90 to and from work (not the best habit but I can't help it) so if I get 33s and drive 70-75 I'll get bout the same lol

Nope, that was Parker. We have a saying, "Gice it a little more Parker!". Haven't seen him in the threads in 4 years.

That's right I remember y'all talkin about that guy. Before my time! So had a guy the other day accuse my truck of being a mall crawler I didn't know whether to punch him in the dick hole or be say thanks for saying my truck is that clean. I laughed in his face when he got into his #squatlife gmc 2500
