    Got to test out how strong this grill is the other day when someone backed into me.:facepalm: Pushed the whole truck back a foot. To my surprise, just made a smudge mark on the powdercoat.. this thing is beefy. :benchpress:

    Is it possible to mount the backplate closer to the cut outs to eliminate the shadow effect like in the picture above?

    I think this is as much to do with the angle of the photo as anything. The "shadow affect" isn't noticeable in person IMO. The only part that is noticeable is the part that connects that O's (top and bottom bars that go down to fill the center). Just due to that in itself the Tacoma letters may be better as it would be one "O".

    You could use washers if you like with longer bolts but due to the height of the nutserts they can't be made taller by us.
