I know we have some hunters in here. Just a reminder guys to please be careful with butane heaters in tents. My friend, of 8 years passed away Sunday as a result. His father I were co-workers and those two were extremely close.
Steven has a young child, a wife, and a second child on the way with his wife.

Have you mentioned that Auto Focus doesn't work for night/ star photography. You will have to play with it peeking at pixels but the sweet spot is around the infinity focus setting.

Aw man, that breaks my heart. Sorry for your loss, Sean.

Is there a way to help out his family?

Of course. I'm just a single dude with no kids. I can't imagine being in the position his wife and little girl are in right now.

    What haven’t I changed?
This is another reason to take some test shots at the highest ISO for your camera at the beginning. It helps to confirm your focus while also helping to calculate exposure. Best thing to do is get there before the sun goes down, because you can use the first stars/planets that appear to set your focus and it's still bright enough out that you can use live view (if your camera has it) to do it.

I thought I had a 2% knowledge of photography until I started watching these videos. Its back to 0.5%

Lots of crap to know, I just push the button and adjust some settings on a whim.

Edit, I do want to get a intervalometer for the Nex 6... the guy on Monday mentioned a good brand but I forgot what it was.
