I texted the GF yesterday around lunch to tell her that I was going to be working on the woodshed when I got out of work and not cooking dinner, so she should think of what she wanted to cook. Got out early and started building, and then I got a text around 5:15 with a link to a menu and "what do you want?"

Haha. I Can imagine it's a dangerous time to shop or cook.

We've got a meat CSA type thing, so I always have some pretty awesome cuts in the freezer. I also cooked a rack of short ribs that ill probably eat tonight.

I always have a ton of meat in the deep freeze, between the chickens we raise, the pig my parents raise for us, and the beef critter my parent's slaughter every year or so. Big part of why I bought a generator, to be honest.

Kind of like a farm share, but for meat. Get a delivery every month of like 15-20 lbs of assorted local grass fed hippy approved meats.

I think the local farmers around here just call them a Meat Share or Meat Farm Share. The local butcher shop also sells what they call "Meat Packs" but they're not a regularly scheduled thing, you just go in and order when you want them.
